Re: Returning to the ground

I'm going to be honest: while not going up would be something of a disappointment now (whodathunkit?), it would be tinged with the possibility of seeing some fresh grounds. (And possibly absolutely harrowing this division.) I could have done up to 10 away games this season, 8 of which would have be...

Re: The Bantams wait: Bradford (A) 6/3/21, 3pm KO

Interesting theory. But it could work either way - we could weaken non-contenders for subsequent fixtures against our rivals. But then again, as teams play their games in hand in our free midweeks, they'll be even more tired. After playing at ours on Tuesday, Cambridge go to Oldham on Saturday. Aft...

Re: The Bantams wait: Bradford (A) 6/3/21, 3pm KO

This was the first game I've been able to see in a while and I must say I was very impressed with the performance overall. A little unlucky not to win it, but I'd have taken a point beforehand. I'm not the greatest at analysing individual performances, but I thought Isgrove was fine whereas Sarc & D...

Re: The Bantams wait: Bradford (A) 6/3/21, 3pm KO

This is where we hit our stride. 3-1 win ( late consolation for them). As an.aside, was doing a form.time activity about heroes the other day, Pele was one. I said ' many consider him the greatest, others might say Messi, Ronaldo, ..' and a kid piped up without missing a beat 'Clayton Donaldson'. (...

Re: Remaining fixtures

I too normally start out with an idea and by the 3rd sentence can't remember what the point was  Whenever I'm asked to give writers advice I recall John Lennon's guide to writing songs: "Say what you mean and make it rhyme." You can skip the rhyming bit. Say what you mean? I am the f...

Re: Will the wheel drop off? Barrow (h) 27/02/21 15:00

Not got data on this but 7th in league two last few seasons has got 71,75,70,75 points. So somewhere between 70-75 to get that play off spot. 15 games left. 8 or 9 wins to get a spot. Assuming a few draws too. Probably 10/11 wins minimum for a shot at automatics. Had a quick dig. I suspect the two ...

I also can't be arsed with other football. Wanderers is enough for me. Always amazes me when someone mentions a rival league 2 player and people don't just know who he is but have opinions on his talents. I'm well up on our own though, so ahead of Bruce, who just found out who Eoin Doyle was a coup...

Re: When do we make a call on Evatt?

Evatt is Streaky McStreak Face. We won just one of our opening eight league games, then won five in eight and, prior to Saturday, it was another one win in eight. So, the win against Orient signals the start of the next winning streak. I was being tongue in cheek when I posted that, but it's turned...

Next three games, next 10 days, we're playing three of the bottom five. And I repeat - we're five points below the dots. Might be getting giddy but isn't that why we follow?
