Liverpool's 'New Anfield' finally unveiled

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

I think it's modelled on the old cattle barns in that area. To continue the theme they could have modelled the new Anfield on a giant burnt out car.
Or just have a load of steel bars 7 inches apart all the way around the ground

designed with all liverpool fans in mind
Rumoured that the corners are going to be filled in for extra capacity, but that we can't do that until we do extra planning permission (as the original one was only for 60k, not the mid 70s). Whether or not we'll be able to do that before it's built, I doubt.

Be interesting if you could see from outside, though!

Funny how they've managed to cunjour up this new design just in a matter of weeks isn't it? It took longer than that for the plans for my mam's kitchen extension to be sorted out.

They've been working on this design for about 3 months, Hoss (since G&H took over and re-commissioned the architects to have a look at it).

The pictures floating around as 'leaked' ones a few weeks ago were only 'best guess' artsists impressions, or just pure fabrications...

The next question, of course, is what we're going to call it, and who is going to sponsor it...

Here's the previous design. Which would you want your team to play in?

It looks quite good - it's different anyway, and the Kop seems to have been effectively incorporated.

And.... when it's finished it will mean that I never have to hear the phrase "And here we are, for another special European night at Anfield" ever again!

I thought it was a wind up when my mate sent me these pics.

Crikey - there is a difference between 'striking' and 'ugly', I should know.

Both wrong. We're going for a continental touch of class, with the San Giro

Stadium designs can't please everyone. Personally I think it's an awesome looking bit of work, it's going to be unique and it's going to be different from anyone else. That picture of the new Kop sends a shiver down my spine - I want to be a part of that and I can't wait. The whole project sounds so, so exciting. It's going to be amazing.

Just think of how you felt when you first pored over the plans for the Reebok the very first day they were released. That's how we feel now. Well, how I feel at any rate.

I think I'm in the minority when I say I like it because it looks different. Not like the Sunderland, Doncaster 'Flatpack' new stadium, but a bit different and brave. Think it will look much better when built as well.

Sorry, it looks like some work experience lad has knocked it up on his PC in his lunch hour.

Terrible.
