Rumoured that the corners are going to be filled in for extra capacity, but that we can't do that until we do extra planning permission (as the original one was only for 60k, not the mid 70s). Whether or not we'll be able to do that before it's built, I doubt.hisroyalgingerness wrote:designed with all liverpool fans in mindAthers wrote:Looks like you could stand outside and see the game.
Be interesting if you could see from outside, though!

Funny how they've managed to cunjour up this new design just in a matter of weeks isn't it? It took longer than that for the plans for my mam's kitchen extension to be sorted out.blurred wrote:Rumoured that the corners are going to be filled in for extra capacity, but that we can't do that until we do extra planning permission (as the original one was only for 60k, not the mid 70s). Businesswoman of the year.
They've been working on this design for about 3 months, Hoss (since G&H took over and re-commissioned the architects to have a look at it).
The pictures floating around as 'leaked' ones a few weeks ago were only 'best guess' artsists impressions, or just pure fabrications...
The next question, of course, is what we're going to call it, and who is going to sponsor it...

It looks quite good - it's different anyway, and the Kop seems to have been effectively incorporated.
And.... when it's finished it will mean that I never have to hear the phrase "And here we are, for another special European night at Anfield" ever again!

Stadium designs can't please everyone. Personally I think it's an awesome looking bit of work, it's going to be unique and it's going to be different from anyone else. That picture of the new Kop sends a shiver down my spine - I want to be a part of that and I can't wait. The whole project sounds so, so exciting. It's going to be amazing.
Just think of how you felt when you first pored over the plans for the Reebok the very first day they were released. That's how we feel now. Well, how I feel at any rate.
