Taken on its own I don't think Saturday's game was that bad. First half especially. Both teams going for it and it was fairly end-to-end.

However in the big scheme of things I think I think it summed up our entire season and that's the final nail in the coffin. It's all so predictable isn't it? There was so much happening that you could see coming a mile off.

Their goal, as soon as their lad started to cut in I was shouting 'Don't let him shoot! Don't let him shoo-....'

Ryo, his first run the full back to pushed him out wide and held him off and that was that for the full 90 minutes. Even on the odd occasion when he had a yard on him (7.9secs for the 100m don't forget) the defender still managed to get back and force him out.

Running the ball out of play. What the feck?

Petrov giving up if someone went past him. Chase back? Why bother?

Eagles. I used to think he was shit, now I think he's shit AND thick. He does the EXACT opposite of whatever's called for. When an early ball's needed he dithers and when there's no one in the box (let's face it - that's most of the time) he's firing it in, or more often out for a goal kick.

And the final ten minutes. Come on Whites, let's have a push here. No. Fanny arsing about taking all day over throw-ins and goal kicks.

People rave about the need for 'passion'. 'Where's the passion?' Well Kevin Keegan and Turnip Taylor have 'passion' but they're fecking idiots. What I want is a bit of intelligence.

The script isn't written before kick off. Go out with a plan but have the brains to see what's working and what isn't and adapt that plan. Surely there's not only Jose Mourinho who can see what's ahppening and make changes.

Someone who has a concept of time would be nice.

You should NEVER allow a winger inside, unless he's about 40 yards out.

The only time it's remotely forgivable is if there's covering midfielders.

I wouldn't drop him. He made one glaring mistake and got punished for it. Ideally we'd be wanting Wheats or Ream to come and close that down when they noticed Steinsson in trouble.

I think defensively we were quite good all round. One mistake by Steinsson punished badly and he then went on to more than make up for it. Think it would be harsh to drop him for that.

After all it would then mean Ricketts at RB and Alonso back in at LB. Which would be worse?

A player with the ball at his feet and in space will then pass it, at waist height to a player with someone either on top of him or close enough to make the next pass a boot upfield, out of play or just straight to them.

Why do we keep giving the opposition the ball back?

I mean, I know the answer just can't understand it.

Also, if we've got the ball in midfield do we go backwards to Bogdan to launch? We're not the hustle and bustle side of yesteryear, we're the fall-to-pieces shit scared team of yesteryear.
