Unlucky for him, but not a great loss.

... & call me pessimistic, but that has all the hallmarks of something which, after about 6 weeks, they'll decide needs operating on.malcd1 wrote:"My collateral knee ligament got torn partially. Fortunately I don't need surgery so I'm to miss 6-10 weeks."
I like Lonergan, when he's been played. Bogdan concerns me ... but he has certainly has had a couple of matches where he's made the (positive) difference this season.
Ah well. Never rains but it pours.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Bogdan is a good keeper, but I have great confidence in Lonergan. I wonder if he will do well enough to keep the place when Boggers is back to full fitness.

Re: Bogdan out for five weeks.
That's a bit of a bugger, but on the other hand, if we get thrashed 0-5 by the Tractor Boys we can always use the "Our proper goalie is injured" and give Dougie another ten games. Though injured in training ffs. Perhaps out training regime is flawed.

Don't try to be a great man. Just be a man and let history make up its own mind.

Fxcking training!Gravedigger wrote:That's a bit of a bugger, but on the other hand, if we get thrashed 0-5 by the Tractor Boys we can always use the "Our proper goalie is injured" and give Dougie another ten games. Though injured in training ffs. Perhaps out training regime is flawed.

Don't get me wrong, sitting around on sofas having a few pies isn't a great regime, but some of the bollix that people come up with these days is sheer nonsense. I've spouted off about this on another thread, so I'll not start here... but Dougie is beginning to annoy me regarding this fitness malarkey bee-in-his-bonnet-crap.

That's a leap of faith, maybe he went for a high cross bumped into someone and landed awkwardly!Gravedigger wrote:Though injured in training ffs. Perhaps out training regime is flawed.

Lynch, the third choice keeper, is also out for the next five weeks according to his Twittering. Time for Kevin Poole to make a comeback.

I don't care if the man himself has put it on his facebook page, I'm not believing anything until Nixon exclusively breaks the story.

Re: Bogdan out for five weeks.
Leap of faith it may be but since the much heralded science stuff was brought in we have had loads of injuries, no obvious sharpness and terrible results.
...
Re: Bogdan out for five weeks.
Yeah, coz we were fine before.
It seems reasonable to conclude that any new sciencey approach doesn't appear to be having the effect we were hoping for. To suggest that's it is *causing* injuries seems some stretch of reasoning to me!

Re: Bogdan out for five weeks.
Seems a bit fishy to me.
A keeper who is woefully out of form and a lot of people are calling on to be dropped, suddenly develops an injury that will keep him out for a couple of weeks??

This other site to which you refer, Enfield. Was it not taking the piss (bad back as mentioned above, nearly 10 past Bogdan..... etc. etc.)?
Ahem.

The Vela comments seem to suggest that his training methods are injuring HIMPrufrock wrote:Yeah, coz we were fine before.
