Wanderers v Geordies

At least Kevin Davies got a brief mention before the end of the article, although it seems a few Shittus could make him impotent.MJH-12 wrote:It's a preview of the Newcastle game. Works for me. I fully expect the big man to score. For both sides.Gary the Enfield wrote:Well, I like it.
I think MJH is right, too. Keeping the barcodes quiet on AND off the pitch will be key in the early stages.
I think the score prediction's right too. 3-1 to us.
Edit - is Sol Campbell likely to play?

With their injury list and Davies with a point to prove. I'd say yes.East Lower wrote:Works for me. I fully expect the big man to score. For both sides.Gary the Enfield wrote:Well, I like it.

That's amazing !!seanworth wrote:The BBC in their preview have our leading goalscorers as Elmander with 5 , then Klasnic with 3 (2 league). I thought Kevin Davies had 4 goals (all league).
BBC in "know fck all about any other club than the big 4, oh & Wet Spam" shocker.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Well the big day is upon us and I want a win really bad. I know it's totally illogical but I feel this game is very important and a win could determine the level of success we can reach this season. Confidence is rising and this is a team we should be able to beat (no disrespect to Newcastle), and must beat if we want to be in the upper half of the table at the end of the season. A win today could set that tone, so come on you whites.

Nice preview MJH-12 - some key battles identified - and I hope your prediction is more accurate than mine usually are...

Cheers bish! I've even thrown 3 bets on to back up my 3-1 prediction. Chungers to score at anytime, 3-1 at 35/1 (£2 stake), Elmo to score first, 3-1 at 65-1 (£2 stake), Davo to score first, 3-1 at 70/1 (£1 stake)thebish wrote:Nice preview MJH-12 - some key battles identified - and I hope your prediction is more accurate than mine usually are...TANGODANCER wrote:MJH-12 previews the return of the Prodigal Son but hopes to send him home without a Christmas present.

I'm much more confident now I've seen the Newcastle teamsheet:
Krul; Simpson, Williamson, Coloccini, Enrique; Guthrie, Smith, Nolan, Gutierrez; Ameobi, Carroll.
Quite possibly the most static midfield I've ever seen. That, combined with the fact they're playing a 4-4-2, means we should dominate the midfield battle and have less trouble breaking them down, we seem to struggle against 4-5-1.
3-0 Wanderers.
