I really don't see what folk are struggling with here it happens all the time in football. It's up to City either they pay his wages in full for another season or they pay him a third or whatever to make up the difference saving themselves a considerable chunk in the process. We have agreed a fee with City, they are the ones paying SWPs wages. We will have said this is what we will offer you. If City want to give him a million quid to get him off their wage bill thus saving a further million and a half then it has nowt to do with us. We will not be paying off the difference in his salary as it's not our problem. If City are happy to pay him his full year for him to play in the reserves then they won't do this. Thier choice!

For me I am not bothered how the deals are made as long as we end up with the players which want to play for Bolton and OC. I have got headache trying to work this one out.

I do not see why we cannot just sign him and say as part of the deal he will not play against City on Saturday?? All this he won't sign until we have played city is rubbish, like everything in Football these days its all about the money!!
