How can the stories be 'accurate' if they then turn out to be 'a load of shite'? One minute he's saying that so and so is likely to sign for a team and then when it doesn't happen, it's because the player has had other offers. In other words, he doesn't seem to be any more 'ITK' than anyone on here.

Except he correctly states who we are chasing and what is happening with those deals. You seem to be confusing ITK with someone who can predict the future.

Things change clubs come in for players and change the situation. Coyle probably doesn't know right now whether SWP will sign or not, depends on him making his mind up. Don't see how anyone can predict anymore than who we are after and what stage it is at?

Does he? Yesterday Boyata was 'straightforward', today he's speaking to two other clubs. Perhaps if he didn't keep on trying to 'predict the future', people might not be so sceptical.

in his Mirror article he listed three clubs also after Boyata. Perhaps it was straightforwards yesterday but since then the situation changed a bit? If someone asks him, what are our chances of getting a player he can only answer with what the current situation is!

As a journalist it's Nixon's job to cajole interest from people. It's what sells papers.

I'm glad we have a journalist who's actually interested in the club we all support and let's us know of potential deals.

Exactly, it's a rumours thread, like Ronseal it does what it says on the tin. Just ask Mullayo! :)
Pfffft.

Yeah it's nice to have a national journo concentrating on the likes of us, Blackburn and Stoke, makes a change from most who cover the London teams including Man Utd!

It will only 'cajole interest' for so long though. Once people realise he has no more idea of what's happening with any of these deals than they do, they'll just move on to the next 'ITK' journo.

Indeed. As long as he gets results, people will keep biting.

All that 'mystery striker' bollocks was annoying (although either way it sparked debate and was I suppose entertaining in a way) but ultimately he delivered.
