Talk of Evatt going can wait till after, for me. First things first - how do we get points out of this? Well, I never thought in August/September I'd say this but.... bring back the box midfield.
Vic and Dion have been spare parts up front. McAtee erratic at 10 but he looks to me like he's been trying too hard. So sub one of the forwards - frankly doesn't matter which, on that 45 - and bring on Collins for them. That way we'll have four in the central midfield area, both to win the ball and to create. Doesn't mean we can't still ask Sheehan to stretch them, which is clearly the gameplan, or at least the only part of it visible through the murk of underachivement.
I'd also bring on Williams (or possibly Osei-Tutu) for Dacres-Cogley and I'd seriously consider Jones for Forrester at RCB. We need changes and we need people who can move around. We're being beaten not just by a local rival (quelle surprise) but also by a promoted team who have been on a run of bad, and in midweek humiliating, results. It's just not good enough. Your move, Mr Evatt, for now at least.

Thanks as ever for the Couch DJBlu. The football is atrocious. No other word for it. Up front we're as dangerous as a Walnut Whip and the rest behave like they've never seen a football. We started with the wrong two up front (as I suggested) and unless we get a goal back soon we'll lose. Or passing is a joke and Sheehan apart, we haven't a midfielder who can beat an egg. Sooner we stop pretending we're special, the better; we're not' we're very ordinary. Get stuck in and show some guts.

Without Collins we lack creativity. Tutu and Lolos also to add some spark to this poor looking safe team.

2-0 already despite Bax's best efforts. He deserves better. Not sure we do.

I can hear Evatt apologisers now… ooo it was always going to be hard given they lost 5-0 in midweek.
Get to feck

Fans will call for Evatt’s head again, but he won’t go.

It's so embarrassing. Again and again. Can't go on.

Sorry because I like him but Forrester looks so far out of his depth. (One might add that he's not alone.) Ball-wtching, appeaking for offside or something, ignoring their centre-forward free in the box. Awful.

Literal definition of madness.
I get the 10 mins to sort it out but Forrester was at fault and abysmal in the first half with nothing sticking up top.
At least change one of them.

More unlikely things have happened than a comeback here... but when is Sharon's hand forced?

I've got that one on speed-dial because it's mentioned at least five times a day at my work, which is (also) a dumpster fire.

Fair! It's the web developer chat equivalent of "It'll only take 15 mins".Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2024 4:11 pmI've got that one on speed-dial because it's mentioned at least five times a day at my work, which is (also) a dumpster fire.

I don't think it will happen until after a very hostile home game or two. Or if we're out of touch with the play-offs. But this start to the second half has been abject.
3-0. My my.

I can’t believe I’m still watching. If I was there I’d be walking to a nice boozer by now. Thanks by the way DJB, I think
