Sounds good to me.

Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Coley? Lovely stuff. Masively underrated.
Maybe LK would put a twist on it but it was very nice

just polished off a huge bowl of home-made curried root-veg stew...

carrots, sweet potato, parsnips, turnips, onion, curly kale

with a couple of slices of warm home-made granary bread....

fecking awesome!

(am tempted to go and have seconds - but know then i'd spend the whole afternoon feeling bloated..)

Wife pickled some onions in white vinegar today. I'm just having them with corned beef on thick bread. Sometimes, the simple things can be so rewarding. :D

As nice as that sounds, I'm very much a 'leave it alone' kind of person.. Maybe a little touch of salt and pepper. But it's sweet in taste, so I'd not bother adding anything..

Same with sweet potatoes.

Why? Because here in Blighty we somehow read Eat as much as you like as being Eat as much as you can.

The first thing out of the mouths of 99% of the people I know whilst recommending a restaurant is "you get loads....".
