just polished off a huge bowl of home-made curried root-veg stew...
carrots, sweet potato, parsnips, turnips, onion, curly kale
with a couple of slices of warm home-made granary bread....
fecking awesome!

Wife pickled some onions in white vinegar today. I'm just having them with corned beef on thick bread. Sometimes, the simple things can be so rewarding.

I roasted a butternut squash today - with some olive oil and herbs... a first for me!
they were on offer for 69p in Aldi
