What are you playing tonight?

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

I'll stick with it, like, but four or five listens in and a lot of it feels like lots of running for a few short slides.

Some years ago the Sunday Times gave away a Bjork CD. The week after two contributions stood out in Letters to the Editor.

One banged on about how she was a musical pioneer exploring unchartered territory in terms of atmospherics and so on. The other one simply said;

Sir, for sale - Bjork CD. Played once.

A real Marmite artist.

I've actually seen her play live twice............. and just can't!

You and I both, but I just can't get along with Bjork's stuff. Perhaps it's because I thought that the Sugarcubes were absolutely shite.

Michael Buble' Call me Irresponsible album. It had better be tonight is my kind of rythmn. Me and Mrs Jones is good but can't touch the Billy Paul version.

Shostakovitch string quartet no 8. Sombre. Achingly beautiful.

Mendelssohn octet. Light and joyous.

Two favourites. Partner away, and she isn't keen on either... So, an hour well spent... :D

(That she doesn't get Shostakovitch is a real puzzle to me - why?)

It may be the moisturising cream she uses. Or you could try changing your underwear twice a day! :grin:

One of the most underrated singer/songwriters there is. Seen him live a couple of times, magnificent.

An album by a guy i know on another forum. It's called 'Motivation'. Obviously sceptical at first, but f*ck me it's good. Especially when you consider he recorded this in his bedroom.

"Young people, nowadays, imagine money is everything."

"Yes, and when they grow older they know it."
