I already loathe that the Commons Public Accounts committees have become the "how narrow minded and vicious can Margaret Hodge be ?" entertainment shows.

However, as right as you are about the likes of Hodge, Mann etc., and unedifying as the ignorant grandstanding is, part of me does think that it is important we know what a poor grasp of the substance of the issues some of these people have.

I have today taken possession of a second 'green bin' for garden waste. I didn't know you could have two round here .... cost me a short call, a forced listen to a pile of garbled Welsh as the receptionist is required to read "hello, this is ...." in Cymraeg first as otherwise people would just start talking before she had spat phlegm down the phone ... and £14.50. It arrived today, will get emptied next Wednesday along with its brother.
