so - doesn't it follow that if there is only one bid "on the table", that you ARE saying we should just get on and accept it - "it" being sport shield's bid?
unless you are NOT poo-pooing the alleged billionaire's bid and actually think that it is sufficiently advanced to be described as "on the table"??

Let me have at least a few minutes to dream of having a billionaire owner - before someone comes on and pisses on my chips, saying its fake or that ED has turned him down just to piss the fans off even more in favour of the two bob champ manager ST typesWorthy4England wrote:You're such a tart!Peter Thompson wrote:Welcome to Bolton Roger, you have the support of PT

We have had non stop negativity surrounding the club for what seems like the past 4-5 years, so lets have some positivity at least for a few minutes....please !

Re: The breaking News thread...
Being a simple ABC 123 sort of bloke, can somebody explain:
If whoever comes in and uses the assests as colateral against a mortgage loan , then how are they going to pay off the existing debts, tax man etc, repay the mortgage and make enough money via the turnstyles etc, to pay the players and staff and put the club back as a viable business? If it's feasible, then how come we didn't do that before?...I just know somebody is going to say cut players wages etc, which is generally accepted as being responsible for the current mess, but if we get relegated, what then? Will the gate money be sufficient to keep us afloat with a decent side? Surely only getting back in the Premiership with its lucrative payments will do that?

Re: The breaking News thread...
Tony Kounnis, Mr Tamraz's London based representative in the UK, said the businessman had ambitious plans for the club if his bid was successful.
He said: "There's still a bit of due diligence to go through. Sports Shield are a lot further along than us but I am hoping the club doesn't panic.
"There is no need to panic, they have got until February 22, which gives us enough time to complete.
"There are a number of interested parties but we don't feel anybody is as strong as Mr Tamraz."
Mr Kounnis said the possible Wanderers deal would mark Mr Tamraz's entrance into the UK, as he is already well known in the US and the Middle East.
He has plans to expand his liquid natural gas business into the UK.
Mr Kounnis said: "It's not just Bolton. Bolton is one thing but this would act as Mr Tamraz's entrance into the UK.
"We plan a lot of projects over the next five to 10 years which will create jobs and investment, residential and commercial developments.
"We want to build on the assets which Eddie Davies has left."
Mr Kounnis added: "Mr Tamraz has got a successful history and we will bring investment into the club. We will do it carefully and properly and make sure we leave a legacy.
"Bolton Wanderers lies on good assets, good infrastructure and a good stadium, which we want to build upon."
