Think where we would have been if he'd buried the right coin!

Re: The Debt.
Hang on, if he buried one before every match there must be a small f*cking fortune down there.

Yesterday was pay day for the players. Weird that we've not heard one way or the other if that happened or not.

Re: The Debt.
Do you reckon they get normal payslips? Like Rooney's "In" says "£1,400,000" or whatever. Imagine the tax and NI?!

Imagine being the HR intern taking them around. Here you go loads.
I suppose it's not a bad counter-argument to the Britain first type "This is how much a nurse earns, this is how much Wayne Rooney earns, share this if you think that money would be better spent on nurses". *Photo of Rooney's payslip* - Look how many nurses he actually legit pays for in a month. His tax must be more than £100kpm.

Not if they've got a film investment portfolio, and they have an office in the Netherlands and another in the British Virgin Isles they don'tthrowawayboltonian wrote:Taxed at 45% aren't they, most footballers? Yeah, all that image rights shizzle.
Having said that, HMRC, under IR35 (I believe), are trying to crack down on that sort of stuff (probably less successfully the wealthier you are, lets be honest with ourselves) - ie, if it looks like a job, and smells like a job, its probably a job. And therefore you have to pay PAYE and NI the same as everyone else.

On his live transfer blog, Iles claims the club aren't planning to pay off the tax bill. Can't believe that. Makes no sense.

Whoever has made up that lie should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves. As should Iles for repeating it.BWFC_Insane wrote:On his live transfer blog, Iles claims the club aren't planning to pay off the tax bill. Can't believe that. Makes no sense.
