Talking of right backs, McNaughton is also twitching at my memory. Have to look that one up.....

Add Tyrone Mears to the injury hoodoo list, another right back...

He wasn't so much injured as excommunicated - don't think he got near the matchday squad again after Freedman's wet benny at Blackburn. A Coyle signing, Mears became to Freedman as Freedman's signing Medo was to Lennon. So it goes.

Good point. Forgot about that. We signed him in summer 2011, he broke his leg in August, came back for one game but the screws needed resetting and he missed the rest of the season.

The next season, 2012/13, he played a fair bit (starting 25 of the first 32 league games) but Dougie dropped him from the matchday squad for the last 14 games.

He started 2013/14 on the bench more often than not but only played in one league game - he started, at Blackburn – but wasn't in the matchday squad for the last 41 games of that season.

So yeah: played half of one season, basically.
