Birmingham, perhaps? Although (only partly for selfish reasons) there's no time like the present.

Birmingham still owe us a favour for letting them stay up in 2014.

2-0 up and we knocked off for the season with 10 minutes left...

^ Boro, twice as many shots 5 v 10, twice as much possession 33 v 66%, and three times as many corners 3 v 9, and still losing 0v1

Oof, what a kick in the swingers for McDons. And (as someone tweeted) their fans had been booing Rhodes, presumably because he moved to a different town with greater potential financial benefit. Oh the irony.

Good point for them non the less. Could be crucial, either way. 2 points dropped or a point gained. Will only know at the end.

They are now well and truly in the mix alongside MK Dons and Bristol.

They're playing Fulham tomorrow too. Could be an interesting one.

Draw the best result? Keeps both teams closer, though I think Fulham are more likely to pull away.

A loss to Blackburn would be my preferred result. I don't think Fulham are a rival to us to stay up, whereas Blackburn might yet become so.

Yeah, Fulham are safer than Blackburn. Even ignoring local rivalry (though that might come into it) I'd reckon we're more likely to be joined by Blackburn. Not like Lambert has proved himself capable before of leading relegation-threatened clubs to glorious revival, and without Rhodes they look very short of goals. They might draw more games than they lose, but they might not win enough if the others pick up the pace (as we have done, McDons look to be doing, etc).

Seven points adrift at this stage of the season makes it extremely unlikely that we,ll claw our way to safety. We,ve won 4 times out of 31 games and are currently on 24 points,I predict we,ll need to grab at least another 24 points from half as many games! Anyone really think this side is capable of that? Watching Bolton this season has been painful, and the players don,t seem to have had the same urgency as most of the opposition we,ve faced this season. The squad we had at the start of this season should have been more than capable of a comfortable mid-table finish,or (dare I say it) a push for the play offs.Team tactics and use of subs has been shocking to say the least.Half this squad, and the Manager need to look no further than themselves for poor performances!
