Watched a film (in Italian with subtitles) about Robero Calvi, the man dubbed "God's Banker" and the rum events around his death in 1982 when he was found hanged beneath Blackfriars Bridge in London. I remember it causing some sensation at the time it happened. The film decidedly showed he was murdered but no one was ever convicted despite several involved parties including the Italian Mafia and Masonic elements. A Vatican Archbishop (Rutger Hauer in the film) was absolved from trial (rightly or wrongly). One massive cover up was the indication.

Ended up working late so couldn't really pay it any attention. I'll watch it tonight when I get back. Mates & colleagues have given it bang-on reviews. I'm looking forward to it.

Watched it last night. A superb set-up. Didn't really notice these big sweeping shots however.

The best line was "I could have let em off with a stern word and a community resolution, helping Mr Cameron and Mrs May massage the crime figures, but they scored very poorly in the attitude test"

Yep, great start to new series.

Based on the reccos, I looked for this yesterday - but wanted to start at Series 1. Off to BBCi player - strangely enough it's not there unless I want to pay for it...which I sorta thought I already had through my license fee.

That's as maybe, Worthy, but still worth shelling out for anyway> Is it not available via Lovefilm etc?

I may <cough> have a digital copy <cough> of the first series. If I can figure out a way of getting it to you. Would need to check how big the files are.

After watching Shaun the Sheep last weekend I went to see Rams today. Safe to say it's the opposite end of the ovine film spectrum.

Watched it the other night as well. Thought it was good, not too over done on the comedy.

The one with Matt Damon in it? The comedy was Damon's, fairly subtle but there.
