What are you watching tonight?

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

Watched it the other night as well. Thought it was good, not too over done on the comedy.
I must have had a comedy bypass AT, I didn't notice any comedy in it at all. Are we talking the same fillum?
The one with Matt Damon in it? The comedy was Damon's, fairly subtle but there.
Fair enough. I was watching it under the cloud of a massive bout of man-flu. It obviously interfered with my head. I've already got it on my rewatch list alongside Legend so when I do I look out for the subtlety. :)

Pretty sure Mat Damon is nominated for best actor in a comedy for that...

There are lots of implausible space epics.
Some, like Interstellar, Gravity, Star Wars, and Jupiter Ascending are pure shit.
Others like Alien, Blade Runner, Andromeda Strain, and District 9 are magical transformations.
The Martian lies firmly in the latter category. In My Opinion.

I totally meant interstellar not gravity. Though thought both were bobbins. I've heard enough good things about the Martian that I'll probably check it out.

Anyway, tonight's Valentine's film is American Psycho which somehow neither if us have seen. Excited.

The Big Short. Cracking watch (though it seems to be a rule that to make a film about a financial clusterf*ck you have to cast Margot Robbie). Absolutely compelling, and interspersed with moments where waves of anger just wash over you.

Watched a couple of old favourites this weekend, Ronin and Killer Elite ( a crappily named but decent film take on Ranulph Feiness's book The Feather Men. Ronin, as ever, is one cracking film.

^ Ronin is one of my all-time favourite films and I must have watched it half a dozen times. It has been said that I have a passing resemblance to Jean Reno, or perhaps it is he that looks like me.

6/10 for deadpool. Few laughs in there but over hyped as expected. Ryan Reynolds is a bit too smug.
