We're not in court until Monday...why would the betting stop before then?

Well five pm on the Friday has passed. No announcement made. You all lose your bets. As bookmaker I've made a small bitcoin killing. Cheers.
That was my bet. You gave me evens didn't you?
You're the only payout. Once I garner the bitcoins in, you'll get paid.

The deadline was Friday evening. Most businesses close by 5pm. That's why.

Apparently Sports shield are struggling at the eleventh hour, perhaps the same hot air & bollocks that we've had for 3 months

Big Roger Tam is apparently back in the building and still knocking on the door, heard a rumour that he's staying at the Beaumont Hotel tonight and is quietly confident of getting it done over the weekend should Sports Shield trip up, he's convinced that's he's the best person to take the club forward.

The word on the twattersphere is it has to be done tonight otherwise voluntary administration is implemented. That's the rumour.

In coast to coast this afternoon, one of Tammy's bodyguards told me that Sports Shield have until COB today to sign on the dotted line, if not then Roger has all day tomorrow to agree a deal.

Ah yes. Tamraz the billionaire who couldn't prove he had the necessary funds.

I knew nothing would be sorted today. Something about the whole thing didn't sound right to me.

Having said that we've presumably sold enough to survive Monday and beyond so I don't see the need to rush now. Too late to change things on the pitch and surely we've sold the assets we might have kept had we acted earlier.

Can see this dragging on and on and on and on.....

Unfortunately Monday is not just about turning up with a bag of wedge and saying to the beak, "sorry your honour, here's what we owe the tax man". The taxman will be there presenting evidence stating we are a fxcking liability and for the good of good governance and a happy kingdom we should be eliminated from their ledgers. Selling enough to survive Monday is just part of the scenario, we need to convince them that it won't happen again. And without a plan, i.e a buyer we're fecked. The only other get out clause is VA - which if my research is correct needs to be lodged tonight for action first thing Monday, by a court, before our appearance at the high court.

That'll be a first then, the Revenue closing down a money source.

Honestly, that's what we're up against. It won't be a matter of turning up in a suit and making noises about how we really regret it, or saying our mates egged us on.

Bolton News reporting that deal with sports shield is not done but club believe it is close enough to be able to earn an adjournment on Monday.

I'd settle for that.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Bolton News also say a party is waiting in the wings should it go wrong.

There is something about this that just doesn't seem right to me.

If you have an agreement in principle and are doing legal checks that should be enough for an adjournment. Not sure why Eddie is trying to fudge it and claim 4 still in the running if on Monday the plan is to claim a deal with one specific group is very close.

Struggling with this a bit. Only conclusion I can come up with is that the deal is nowhere near as close as has been reported, or perhaps even as Deano himself thinks it is.....

Not sure what I'm saying would necessarily be negative apart from for our own sanity.

God knows what is going on.
