And what is the nature of your call?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

It was this morning, last night....and Tuesday...not that it ever changes...conversation last trip...
CESM "'allo reception"
Me "bonjour, err, do you have ironing board, sivoo play"
CESM "oui monsieur"
Me "merci, could you send one up, sivoo play"
CESM "non, you 'ave to come to reception"
Me "ok, I'll head down, merci"
Off to reception I head...took under 5 minutes
Me "bonjour, Please could I have an ironing board, merci"
Reception - same voice I just spoke to on phone "we 'ave none, they're all out" Gallic shrug..
Me "F*£'&"

The standard British method of language communication when abroad is to stare at anyone who doesn't understand and say it louder. They are foreigners after all, even if you are in their country...Lost Leopard Spot wrote:Excellent French.Worthy4England wrote:It was this morning, last night....and Tuesday...not that it ever changes...conversation last trip...

That way the yoofs will get full value of their vote.
Thank God experience counts for nowt.
them owd feckers shouldn't get a vote - they've already had theirs - they voted to join!

Re: Brexit or Britin
Cameron's 'deal' beginning to look very shaky indeed. When foreign politicians start using phrases about the EU parliament's vote on the deal as being "I wish to be a monkey with a gun and shoot the British" (as one Hungarian MEP declared last night) then I think he's well and truly fxcked.

Same here. I really am 50/50.CrazyHorse wrote:23rd June for the referendum.

Pros include: stability, better the devil, bloc power, certain financial arguments.
Cons include: rubbing the Scots noses in it, change as good as a rest, stand alone pride, certain other financial arguments (the main one being currency union without fiscal union is a timebomb waiting to explode).
