Rubbish. Amos was brilliant last season and even did well earlier in the year. He's form has dipped, as anyone with job uncertainty might, but terrible? Not a chance.

On second thoughts, you must be trolling.
He's a dreadful keeper. Dreadful. Easily a mistake a game in him.
He does have a 'major' mistake in every game - he's poor, and like the rest of the team though he's mentally weak as piss

Fcuk him off next season as well

As ever, I think the truth may lie somewhere in the boring middle bit. Amos isn't a genocidal maniac and he might not be the messiah either.

I just can't help seeing a walking £3m contract (Enoch clause: according to James Ducker in this Times article, if memory serves me right).

Madness.
The man's a dick isn't he?
Yes Lennon is one of the most tactically incompetent managers I've come across - why make the substitution, just no need for it in a must win game with the team in control just leave it as it is.

Just feck off Lennon....I actually don't care anymore whether we go into admin or get bought out by Tamraz, Deano or Mary Poppins but whatever happens please just get rid of Lennon.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

To be fair to BWFCI, in a must win game it was shocking goalkeeping - the shot was straight at him and went under his body, he's made so many mistakes recently.

I actually think that he has an issue with his eyesight & shots from distance, he's cost us quite a few points this season from weak, average shots from a 20-25 yard distance getting past it.

The shot wasn't as weak as Merston had me believe. Weak as pish challenge by Moxey leading up to it though

I can't get over how fecking angry I am at this result.

Poor decision to bring on Danns for Clough, why not Woolery and keep em pressed in their half? Surely he knows by now that we can't defend and see games out.

Poor defending from Moxey.

Poor goalkeeping from Amos or just a lack of concentration.

Pfft, means feck all what we say as the clown will still be there next week and the week after that.

It was though, I've just seen it again and it was straight at him and went under his body, shocking goalkeeping, schoolboy error yet again by Amos

He isn't very good. Terrible is a bit harsh. But we shoulda won that, at that point, so he's a not very good goalie who has let in a terrible goal. I think that's a fair assessment.

he's not "dreadful" - he's probably as good as a club like us can expect to have. I've seen much worse and i'm sure you have too.

Bish...he's not good enough (Amos) due to the points that he costs the team due to individual basic mistakes.

I seriously think he has a long sighted visual problem, he should have been tested months ago....he simply can't deal with shots from 20-25 yards, today was another 'very' costly shocker.

Almost as bad as Lennon's decision to bring Danns on for Clough....

we might wish for better - but - hey - we're rooted into the bottom three of the championship...

I don't think Amos is the key problem - however frustrating it is to lose 2pts deep into stoppage time...

however - I wasn't there - so maybe he has suddenly become "dreadful". I don't think he has been "dreadful" in the games I have seen...

Highlights.

I am firmly putting Moxey down as the culprit for the equaliser. Stay on your feet you plum.

edit: Dervite turning his back to the shot. Pussy.

Goalkeeping is a key position in any team, but to be beaten by a routine, 'straight at you' shot along the ground in a key must win game in the last minute isn't great !

I'm not sure whether his reported £16k per week salary is true or its just sheer speculation, but if it is he not worth a 1/3 rd of that - but regardless I would expect an average Bolton combination / Sunday league keeper to have saved that shot today - simply not good enough from a professional goal keeper IMO.

My theory on amos is he's struggling cos there is no competition. The goals he ships are cos he isn't alert enough. He knows he isnt getting dropped so isnt pushing himself. Not a situation we are used to here, no goalkeeper competition.
