Supposed genius business man allowed the club to rack up £180 million of debt in the first place!
I'd name a stand the Eddie Davies vanity stand if that's what he wants.
Pay him a bonus?
What for, allowing Gartside to get us in the position we are now in?
Bollocks!
where did that idea come from? has he ever claimed to be a genius business man?

he invested a ton of cash right when we needed it.

The question that needs answering is, IF we don't pay tax bill, given we have raised the cash to do so, why not?
I'm very interested in hearing that question answered.

Sale of the car park plus training ground.
staff wasn't paid last month, and as far as we know, the tax bill hasn't been paid either

Supporters Trust have official bank account set up according to their twitter feed. Anyone getting a dread feeling that all this has been leading up to them trying to take control of the club and that's what ED has wanted? Mainly because they will be more 'open' to his plans for future monies?
Pfffft.

Not really. If it's true, he could have asked it of anyone. I bet John McGovern wasn't expecting us to bounce back up to the top tier within a decade. For all the find-raising marathons he ran, I bet we haven't so much as bought him a cup of tea.bobo the clown wrote:It could only arise if they've seen the buyers have/ promise of having some substantial funds.
I dunno. It sounds like the sort of rumour one would make up if one liked making up rumours more than one liked Eddie Davies.
Re: The breaking News thread...
If true, these demands are bizarre. Why don't we give Eddie a minutes applause before each game too, or maybe even rename the club to Eddie Davies FC?
I'm not business expert, but WTF are these demands all about? Why should any prospective buyer rename a suite The Eddie Davies Suite?
Just sell the club, man.

I'm betting there are those who don't know who Fred Dibnah was never mind Ben Dobson and Lord Leverhulme.Bruce Rioja wrote:How many of you know who (without looking him up) Samuel Taylor Chadwick is?

Doesn't say profit as far as I can see, just a "large" bonus for every year we're in the Championship or Premier League.BWFC_Insane wrote:Way I see it is Eddie basically is saying, you invest your cash and work hard to sort out the mess I've left the business in, then I will have a cut of any profit you manage to make.bobo the clown wrote:IF TRUE ... & I seriously doubt it .... this is his advisors, possibly including Birch, trying to wring a bit of blood from a stone. Final dibs, "no harm in trying".
It could only arise of they've seen the buyers have/ promise of having some substantial funds. It may also reflect a view which is bolstered by three being more than one realistic bidder.
I can see an argument which says "hey, I've written off £180m. If you turn it around then that will be in no small part down to my generosity. So let's have a bit of that".
I can also see a reply which, however worded specifically, says "go fck yourself".
It's called 'negotiation'.

Whole thing still moving, so will try to keep some sort of update. Still begs question: Why is cash from asset sales not being used to pay?

Really the court should tell them to shove the adjournment and start the process. Hope they don't but the people in charge are taking the piss.
