I hate knee jerk reactions but I can't see my opinion changing in the morning. The man has to go, right guys?

Can he be sacked when the theoretical new owners haven't yet been ratified by the League?

Let me guess: 48 hours...

Yes - there's still a Board of Directors running the Club....the owner doesn't run it. :-)

They aren't going a make a decision are they? We'll have to wait for Deano's lot to get the thumbs up before they can give the thumbs down.

Live a little....There's no bugger in charge to sack 'em. :-) Agree it's highly unlikely...

Has to go ASAP. Birmingham were poor, but look where they are in the table. I still hold on to the ludicrous notion that we could escape relegation, but only if we give NL the bullet (no pun intended), and only if we do that urgently to give someone with a shred of tactical awareness / people skills maybe a dozen matches to scrape enough points together.

I think it's too late now to stay up. Even if we win all our home games we only get 46 points, and that's not going to happen. We might sneak one away, but I doubt even that.

However you don't buy a club and then stand idly by as the man who's been failing at his job for a year takes it down a division, you at least have a go.
If we got Keith Hill in for example he's a good shout to bring us back up and just might pull off a miracle by lifting the gloom.

Exactly. With NL we are dead and buried. With someone else, we may have a fighting chance until it is mathematically impossible to stay up.

Would take that. No compo required for Jimmy, he could take it short term until the end of the season, without long term commitment to the role (don't think he wants that). His previous caretaker form wasn't too bad if I remember correctly?

Edit: Pearson's name being mentioned elsewhere. Don't think we could get a better out-of-work manager that we could realistically attract (given his slightly-damaged-goods-status following Leics departure). Maybe worth a short term contract to end of the season?

He might be bonkers but after his heroics in keeping Leicester up I expect he'll be looking for more than being a stop gap here!

Please allow me a brief delusion until I fall asleep, hoping that I wake up and find that tonight's fiasco was nothing but a bad dream (like in Dallas that time).

Well if you want to dream about Big Sam getting out of your en suite shower, I think I'll leave you to it!

I'm informed by someone who claims to be ITK that Phillips was quietly approached over a month ago about taking over and he didn't want the job this time.

I'm amazed that the club have taken their eye off the ball to the extent that they have with the on field stuff. Surely NL now has the worst history of any manager not to get the sack?

It's too late now in any case. We're down and out, but a new man might start to galvanise things before the end and allow for a good start next season.

You should have kept this to yourself. There'll be folk blaming Jimmy next
