Bringing Dobbie on when Burnley equalised ... I was angry at the time, but all I can do now is shake my head. Poor from Lennon, that.

Overall, we were good. We were better than good and deserved to take all 3 points.

Feeney was class, a cut above. Barnstorming display.

Holding and Derik were very good, but I'd need to see their goals again to see if anyone was at fault, especially for the first. Is it me or did one of our defenders let their ball just go right through to Grey who hit a snapshot? I'm sure we could have cleared it before it got to Grey.

Apparently played pretty well but this week sort of did it. I see no possibility of anything other than Division 3 football next year.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Not looked likely for anything but, from about September...

Might as well be a house elf. He looks marginally more likely to score than Heskey...

Rachubka on the 1st, good stop. Cupped hand to try and catch it instead of tipping it over which led to the ball dropping to the onrushing player. Derik could have been closer to the Grey which would have prevented the need for the diving header which stopped him following the player. Moxey could have closed down the player who punted into the box. Take a look at Josh Vela and his role. Chief ball watcher.

2nd was a punt up with the defenders coming up to support the midfield. Grey quicker to the ball and the rest well ....

I keep thinking it's bad luck but when we're chasing the game aka Birmingham he does nowt and when it doesn't need changing he royally fecks it up by bringing on a player.

I agree with the Dobbie change. This is no way meant to disrespect him but how long does it take him to get into the game? Old legs. They scored 3 minutes after that sub. It just shows how effective Clough was without being brilliant. Lennon just doesn't see it.

I'm not defending Spearing for losing the ball but how far is the nearest Bolton player? The way the commentary was going on he had an easy pass to a player? It looked like he had 4 Burnley players round him. Did he have the chance to play it out before this? as the highlights don't show the lead up to it.

Regards Spearing, yes he had a chance to pass it out on the wing, or a back pass, he did neither, poor decision making from him

They had about 3 chances and put two of them away. I must say most of our lads had their head in their hands at the end, they gave it their all.I will just say though that Lennon is useless with his substitutions, useless....

Gutted today. The best I've seen them play for a very long time. We didn't give them any space and our midfielders dominated for 90 minutes.

We didn't deserve to lose and we didn't even deserve to draw. I know it was Spearing's mistake for the second goal but he had a very good game as did Davies, Pratley and Feeney. Clough was busy but quiet, Heskey tried but is well past it (as is Dobbie) and the defence were pretty solid.

Should have been 3 points but that happens when you are down the bottom. Every mistake is punished.

If this was near the beginning of the season I would be encouraged. If we had a manager that can see what is need even at this late stage I would be encouraged. Unfortunately it is the last part of the season and we have a tactically inept manager!

We were on top for most of the first half and started the second like a train! Step forward the tactically inept manager (for those not following I mean Lennin) did he bring on pace, he had the option in Silva and Woolery? Oh no, he takes off the static Heskey and brings on the Madine (yes I know he assisted for the goal but apart from that he did his usual poncing about the pitch! However, 1-0 up and seemigly cruising to victory they get an undeserved, IMO equaliser after a good save from the stand in keeper (can't spell his name).

Time to act Mr Lennon so up he jumps and takes off our talismanic Clough (who had a good if not brilliant game) and brings on a player with no pace, no creativity and no chance of scoring! We are now on the back foot, they then get a second after a bit of pass the parcel in the middle of the field. Then 10 minutes from the end he finally brings on some pace in Silva, he had a good impact and we created some good chances which we should have equalised and that is how I saw it.

I think we would have won this game if the Manager had brought on some pace when taking Heskey and Clough to keep the pressure on Burnley who looked nervous and were not playing well. However, like we have done all season we have handed the game to the opposition. Time to ring the changes, trouble is it will probably be summer before this happens so a season or two in division 3 it is, thank you very much ED & NL!

Woolery? Heskey and Clough looks like a decent partnership on paper... Madine and Dobbie doesn't have the same ring about it.

I have no idea why he's reluctant to use Woolley. At least as a 30 minute sub. He adds pace & directness. He worries defenders. Not ready possibly for starts week in, week out but offers more than a tired Hesky, a bottle-less Madine & a very ordinary Dobbie.

Has he played a minute since he scored that last minute winner?

What's Wellington done to upset him? He was our stand out player at my last home game. I don't think he's started a game since :conf:

There's a theme here .... score a winner, play out of your skin >>> dropped.

Does look a bit like he's trying to make a feasible team out of the worst rather than the best. Why is anybody's guess?

Presumably Feeney will be dropped next. Not a winner granted, but by all accounts played a blinder.

That goal by Feeney was exactly how you can play him to his strengths.

Expect his remit next week to be to stick tight to the fullback and byline. Ours that is.

Ah well, what division are Bury in these days?
