was it?? I thought that was a side-issue...

I thought it was about you claiming that the process with FL approval for the SS bid was stalled because ED somehow forced SS to stupidly sign a deal they could no longer afford based on pure emotions and goodwill towards the club...
The fact the deal changed at the last minute means that their business case will have changed. That is the point I'm making. They need to prepare that case and have the league accept their plans.

The fact the deal changed at the last minute was not down to sports shield.
I heard that ten nanoseconds before they signed Eddie altered a crucial clause. Like most of us Deano couldn't react in time. Horrified, his preconciousness watched as his hand continued to sign. Despite his brain screaming to his body he'd been duped, Eddie fast as a flash removed the already signed contract from under Deano's very nose. He's a right speedy c unt is Davies...

PS. You don't half talk some shit. Last minute!? Bollox.

You said The End. I finished at that point. You proved absolutely nothing, categorically or otherwise.
The End. Of The End.
And by the way, you were the one swearing blind. You're the one claiming black and white. I think you need to review your own reading comprehension skills. I'd also take a quick check on your hysteria levels too.
I'd then go and check whether you've promised to shoe in an old man, and possibly see how many people you've called a complete cancer recently.
After that, if I were you, I might lie down and hope that life gets significantly brighter. That or give up being a 'fan'.

this "fact" you speak of... what exactly was it that changed about the deal in the "last minute" that means that SS now struggle to prove to the FL that they have the necessary funds?

Not struggle to prove they have funds necessarily but require them to modify their forecasts and business plans.

If I go to the bank for a business loan with my business plan but then my costs change and I need more I would need a revised plan. Given the deal was agreed very late on and sports shield have several investors it is the same principle. That doesn't mean they are struggling to prove they can keep the club going till the end of next season just that it takes a bit of time. If they are confident that is good enough for me.

in truth, you DID suggest that they were now struggling to satisfy the FL re. the avaiability of funds:

but - you seem to have missed a large part of my question...

What exactly was it that changed about the deal in the "last minute"? (the kind of thing that would necessitate this significant revision of SS's plan that you speak of...)

Which is exactly what I've been saying all along, only you didn't listen....
it all started out when BWFC_Insane wrote: No. The reason there is a hold up is because sports shield have to prove to the league that they have sufficient funds to keep the club operational this year and next. This is actually harder than it sounds. How do you prove investors intentions?...
So they have to work on a projection of relegation to demonstrate they have a business plan in place to keep the club afloat.
Allied to this is the fact that Eddie changed the deal in the last 48 hours meaning they had to agree and then sign, and haven't yet I assume fully fleshed out their business plans based on the new numbers.
to which Lost Leopard Spot wrote:No they don't. Where the feckity fex does it state new owners have to prove funding for the year after they take over?
BWFC-i wrote:They had a meeting and that is what the league has asked sports shield to do. The requirement to prove the ability to run the club as a going concern has been part of the league checks for a while.
LLS wrote: That's an interim forecast for next season. That's not asking for the proof you stated. No proof required, just an interim statement.

This is what is happening. It really is quite simple and in black and white…. The end

They have to prove it. They have to submit a forecast till the end of next season. And the league can ask new owners to prove that 'external funding' within the forecast is actually there.

^ one says one thing, the other says another, from the same person.

I say: Submitting a forecast is one thing, proving you have funds to till the end of next season is another. One has a lesser burden of PROOF. God this is hard work...

The End.

I'm not optimistic about this bunch to be honest.
I smell folk who may have just bitten off more than they can chew.
Hope to hell they were not basing any profit on a quick climb to the top of the championship and promotion challenge then sell on, it's going to be years, years I doubt they have the cash to support the club.

I submit a forecast to Betfred every Saturday! Usually a eight game accumulator, it's not always correct, I,ll edit that! It's feckin never correct. But it's still a forecast, I would appreciate any help on my selections as I,m still poor after years of chucking 2 quid a week at this! I know just how Eddie feels!

Football pahh.. Waste of bloody money . :hang: :hang:
