I find it a wee bit strange that the st are being promoted on the official BWFC website!Rjs37 wrote:One of those three parties will almost certainly be the supporters trust. They would never have survived the scandal of the profit of supporters' investment going to Eddie Davies' pockets.
But post administration, you can bet they'd be chomping at the bit again.

I find it odd they've been allowed to partner with the BWDA and are now dictating terms on the Lifeline money/ membership. I didn't vote for that.

It's all beginning to look like an American soap from the 80's. Just when you think you're getting near the end, someone goes and kidnaps the co-star and we have to wait until after the news next Thursday to find out if he got rescued.
Here's a little trailer of next weeks show......padlocks, grass growing, tumbleweed.

Missed this, but we might have found something we nearly agree on.BWFC_Insane wrote:General Mannerheim wrote:why do the league give a F? if SS were not prepared to bail us out then they would be docking us 10 points and effectively putting us out of business anyway...
Because they've taken flak for a long time for not policing takeovers adequately. So they tightened the rules and have to be seen to be upholding them.
I think this is a bit of grandstanding and they will eventually give approval.

It's Weds now - we're back in Court on Monday so the FL must know that if they reject this bid, then there isn't likely to be another white knight in the time left available...Both parties that were involved in the negotiation (BWFC and SS) I reckon would point to the FL being the villains of the peace - as both parties have agreed terms....

Yes, Nixon has also been saying this. The league need to show they take this seriously but also won't want to be the villains of the story.Worthy4England wrote:Missed this, but we might have found something we nearly agree on.BWFC_Insane wrote:General Mannerheim wrote:why do the league give a F? if SS were not prepared to bail us out then they would be docking us 10 points and effectively putting us out of business anyway...

Nixon has also previously said that the football league had issues with Bolton hierarchy and how it was being run for a while so some of this may be bad blood being spilled.
My only concern is that IF the issues the league have are accurately reported they are probably fairly difficult to fix quickly. Eddie isn't likely to change his end of the deal. Neither are a set of investors likely to want to commit further funding at this stage to cover losses if we go down. Perhaps the last bit is speculative but if the league had demanded Eddie Davies guarantee to cover losses on relegation from the premiership when he took over does anyone think he'd have agreed to it?
However, ultimately I'm sure there are ways these issues can be addressed at least superficially if not with any real meaning. And then the league can say they've ticked their boxes on their forms.

The unsuspecting souls are being lured into membership of the Bolton Wanderers FC Satanic Temple (herein after known as BWFCST)....BWFC_Insane wrote: Yes Nixon has also being saying this. Him and Iles have been tweeting that demonic activity is on the increase. Nixon has known about this for yonks and was hinting about it ever since his christening when the priest was struck down by a cross piercing him through to death.
Iles has spoken of a photograph somebody had taken that he'd seen with Asmandolel the Destroyer emblazoned across Eddie's forehead...

Of course. But as far as I know none of us on here launched a bid for the club. Find it hilarious that the ST are clamouring for SS to be more open with supporters....Worthy4England wrote:Well it's not as if we've had any questions raised on here, now, is it?BWFC_Insane wrote:See the supporters trust have waded in with a list of questions for sports shield. I'm not sure the ST really launched a bid for the Club either, in fairness. On the plus side, at least you've found something to make you laugh.BWFC_Insane wrote:Of course. They openly wrote to ED asking for preferred bidder status. Now, to me that means they launched a bid for the club.Worthy4England wrote:I'm not sure the ST really launched a bid for the Club either, in fairness. Perhaps. I'm not saying it was a realistic bid. But it was a bid. Or at least an intention to bid.Lost Leopard Spot wrote: That's you being naive
Anyhow I think we are in agreement about the 'trust'......

Re: Sports Shield - New Owners (Probably)
In response to BWFCST having questions about the bid, I have 10 questions for them:
1/ What's at the end of the stick, Vic?
2/ Who you gonna call?
3/ Can you feel the love tonight?
4/ You know how to whistle, don't you, Steve?
5/ Do you feel lucky, Punk?
6/ What is it has a trunk, but no key, weighs 2,000 pounds and lives in a circus?
7/ Where is my mind?
8/How much wood can a woodchuck chuck?
9/ Is that a gun in your pocket or are you happy to see me?
10/Do you understand what NDA stands for?
