Here is some real breaking news. The gravity wave that was recently discovered, which proved Einstein's theory of relativity, passed by our nearest neighbour, Alpha Centauri, on the very day I joined this forum. How spooky is that. It is due to pass the next star on the way out, Wolff 694, on 27 September 2028.

Keep patient. It'll be 48 hours yet.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

For once, it won't

Within the next 24 hours we'll either go into admin, get properly taken over or (just possibly, outside chance) get another stay of execution which would be more likely to be a week

Or be liquidated....

It will be "another stay of execution". Which, in my estimation, is effectively another bllx version of 48hrs.

I genuinely doubt it. The HMRC aren't f*cking about and will have been furious that we got an unusually generous extension last time. If I were placing bets I'd say the most likely results, in descending order, are:

1. Deal completes (perhaps with ED taking a hit)
2. Admin
3. Stay of execution
4. Liquidation
5. Court hit by asteroid

But I guess we'll see soon enough.

^^Think DSB is correct. Though I think there is probably a fag paper between 1 and 2. We haven't heard any news on 1 which is worrying as presumably any change to the deal will need to be whisked into FL lawyers first thing tomorrow morning for scrutiny and approval before the case is heard.

If I were a betting man.
1. Admin (75%)
2. Liquidation (12%)
3. SS deal concluded prior to court tomorrow (8%)
4. another extension (5%)

This is what really annoys me. We're less than 24hrs from possibly folding and yet the club can't be arsed to provide an update for the fans. That is very poor comms.

But, I still don't get the admin thing. If HMRC want liquidation, then I'd be surprised if we can go into admin as an alternative.

I believe - because I have to - that there'll be some sort of deal or fudge that will keep us alive for a bit longer; perhaps until the end of the season. But, however that is achieved, I'll know that it is a no more than a stopgap. We are up sh!t creek.

Far be it from me to defend the club and I agree in general their communication has been nothing short of disgraceful.

But I'm this instance I'm not sure what they could say. If they have worked something out they still need football league and potentially court approval. If they haven't they aren't going to pre-announce admin as they still need the court to let that happen.

Judges love saying "this is your last chance our else". Not saying it definitely isn't but as long as we can show we haven't been pissing about it'll be reet. It's in no-ones interest for the deal not to go through, so unless something comes out to indicate it won't, we'll be fine.

But even if they think that it is beyond their control. So probably best not to get hopes or panic up at this stage!

To be honest, if we are scheduled for a court appearance then not discussing anything, good news or bad, before it would sound like sense to me. With the media hounds of Twitterama, Youtube and Facebook ever ready to be the next revealers of eternal truth, silence is no bad option until official decisions.

Great, if the judge opens with "Oh - you lot again?" - then we're in doo doo.
