HMRC say we've claimed to have been on the verge of a takeover twice before and had two adjournments. And now we are saying the same. They have a point......
HMRC furious that we've had so long to pay an undisputed debt yet haven't yet done so....they have a point

If it was revealed in court, isn' that a place where absolute privilege is in place unless of an injunction or something? Unless that isn't applicable here.thebish wrote:so what was the big shock court-reveal that couldn't be tweeted for fear of libel-action???

Not quite - 1st time we didn't have a preferred bidder iirc, second go we hadn't proved to FL that the preferred bidder had the funds...third go we still haven't proved to FL that preferred bidder has the funds due to a late breaking "drop-out"...(That doesn't strike me as a position of long term stability...), but still not the same position as first go...

Didn't we flog the car park and Euxton? How come we haven't settled the tax bill?BWFC_Insane wrote:HMRC say we've claimed to have been on the verge of a takeover twice before and had two adjournments. And now we are saying the same. They have a point......

Apparently not - car park generated a "loan facility", Euxton went into the pot to pay some stuff, offices paid off Wonga.Jugs wrote:Didn't we flog the car park and Euxton? We paid off bank debt. Nixon says the car park deal needs looking at. I think there is something very fishy about it.Worthy4England wrote:Apparently not - car park generated a "loan facility", Euxton went into the pot to pay some stuff, offices paid off Wonga.Jugs wrote:Didn't we flog the car park and Euxton? What was the deal? Was there any money and if so where has it gone? If there wasn't any money yet we told the court we were selling it to pay bills, then why and what the hell has happened?Worthy4England wrote:^^ such as?BWFC_Insane wrote:We paid off bank debt. If you don't know those basics, how can it be fishy?

Re: The breaking News thread...
Not sure how that works, unless the shares are bought as the 15M is paid back? But sports shield would be owners otherwise they'd not need FL approval. So no idea how that works.Lost Leopard Spot wrote:Sport Shield just putting in loans, no shares/equity. Hahahahahaha.... that'll convince him, the judge.

Re: The breaking News thread...
They need to explain it. That is my point. It was described as a development deal. That needs explaining. How can the club do that when it is facing a wup?Worthy4England wrote:If you don't know those basics, how can it be fishy?

Re: The breaking News thread...
Actually thinking about this, they buy the shares for £1. Then loan the business the £7.5M. Which is what Eddie has been doing. That must be how the deal works.Lost Leopard Spot wrote:Sport Shield just putting in loans, no shares/equity. Hahahahahaha.... that'll convince him, the judge.
