Re: Lennon out!
His performance as a Manager here surely constitutes gross misconduct! Impersonation anywhere else would lead to Criminal Charges,we should turn a blind eye and let him sneak away.

Iles suggested we can sack him
In the cheap if relegated so maybe there's a clause in his contract. Like Moyes at man Utd, as soon as champs league was impossible he was gone. I can see us doing the same. Although if we do it makes A mockery of Deano's claim that he's not given up on survival. Because if there's a minuscule chance with a new guy, there's zero with Lennon.

Fck no. I don't really see why there is in "normal law" insomuch as that if you can show the fckrs lied ... or substantial new evidence arose.Harry Genshaw wrote:No double jeopardy law in HR then?bobo the clown wrote:I'm nothing if I'm not creative !Enoch wrote:bobo the clown wrote:The only sharp practice I can imagine would be.....

The first, lying, should come under perjury and perverting the course of justice.

Especially as double jeopardy arose at a time when we still had trial by ordeal. Scrap one, scrap the other.bobo the clown wrote:Fck no. To take the second point first: that is essentially the double jeopardy law now. You can be retried (only for v serious crimes) if new groundchanging evidence is discovered that the police couldn't have found at the time.
The first one is tautological. The original trial is the test of whether they are lying. The jury clearly didn't find that they were. The only way you're going to be able to show that they were lying in a way that means you can't just keeping having as many goes as you want is to come up with some substantial new evidence!

Or trial by ordeal... you missed that out. Hot irons, ducking stool, fire, that kind of thing...Prufrock wrote:To take the second point first: that is essentially the double jeopardy law now. ... & if it becomes clear, maybe even by their own boasts, that they lied ? Could perjury &/or perverting not then apply.Prufrock wrote:To take the second point first: that is essentially the double jeopardy law now. Statistically Freedman, Megson and Coyle are all better BWFC managers..says it all with Lennon closing in on 80 games and a 22% win rate

Aye. And before anyone listens to his excuses, remember the 16K a week contract he handed out to our goalkeeper in the summer!TKIZ! wrote:Statistically Freedman, Megson and Coyle are all better BWFC managers..says it all with Lennon closing in on 80 games and a 22% win rate

Nope. He's one of the reasons we have some of these higher wage earners. Personally it's either Keith Hill or Phil Brown (depending on what Southend do) for me
Pfffft.
Re: Lennon out!
I cannot believe this guy has lasted as long as he has! When he first arrived he played players in their correct positions and seemed to improve a few who had previously been average. Over the last few months he suddenly thinks that a winger can play up front 2 central midfielders can play on the wing (narrow wings) and Trotter can play! He thinks madine is a striker (IMO he is not even a footballer) and consistently keeps playing him and he consistently flaters to decieve!
He thinks the kids cannot cope with the pressure WHAT PRESSURE we are bottom of the league and have run out of time NOW is the time to start with the kids to determine if they can cope with next seaon in 3rd Division (sorry League One)! Also surely it is harder for a young lad to come on and try to influence a game rather than starting and playing himself into the game?
Take Saturday as an example, He could have started with Silva instead of Prately with Feeny on the other wing (it is called a balanced side Lennon) with Woolery and Clough up front. Woolery is a big lad and I think could be good at holding the ball in order to play Clough in. Clough cannot play in midfield as he is incapable of defensive duties, he looked much better when he went up top instead of Feeny and had a few snapshots (off target yes, or straight at the keeper) but their defenders were suddenly backpeddling. Madine has zero movement off the ball wins very few 50-50 headers and cannot hit the target when presented the opportunity (not a good trait for a striker).
Back to Lennon the fact he keeps playing the same failures he has all season and keeps bleating on about if we could make signing it would be different, you made signing and refuse to play them. It is time to get rid of this completely useless manager and bring in someone from within (Phillips or Lee) until the end of the season, blood some of the yougsters ready for next season when they will be the first team.

Trying to play 4-4-2 with two wingers, with these players is suicide as Saturday showed once Lennon changed it.
The diamond system is shit, but to be fair to Lennon he has no striker to play the lone striker role. So is hamstrung. I agree he should be playing Woolery up top for pace though.

This is exactly why we're bottom. Lennon has created all the excuses under the sun and a mentally weak spineless set of players will lap up anything to get themselves off the hook.
