Spearing must be carrying a knock. Not to have him on the bench otherwise would be silly.....oh, er....

One step at a time. Nothing to do today but win and get three points today. Most important step in a thousand mile journey, etc. Axfords are good for wood, the weather is milder, the fans ready. We go and....they start with a flashed header that hit our bar.....

Mic man says Preston's yellow strip makes them look like daffodils. Let's hope they don't "spring" one on us. Lots of gab and not much commentary yet, but....we go and......Clough and Moxey win a corner. Plenty in the stadium as the ball gets cleared and the visitors....visit. Pratley eases the pressure and Wilson clears. Clough, Trotter, Moxey,...Feeney and....it's a throw to them. And....they come at us, once, twice and...Cunningham....loses out to our defence...Feeney races off and ....it's a throwus . And...... a throw them...Holding breaks it up. We go forth but they get it back. Derick sends us in the right direction.....

OPlenty noise as we sally fortha and......ooooooohhhhhhh, mic man reckons Madine could have had a penalty there. Ref doesn't agree. Goal kick them now, some mither about Bury from mic man then.....a bit of to and fro before a Moxey throw. Wilson wins a free kick....hits one forth. They come at us but Wilson does well and......Feeney does well, gets in the box and wins a corner. And.....and....a header from Madie? goes just wide.

Two-sided noise and more to and fro. Lively, reckons our man before Deryk does well. Clough, Moxey, Davies, Clough, Moxey and....plenty tip and tap but it ends with a goal kick. COME ON BOLTON......And now, Davies again, Wilson, Deryk and.......Trotter, Feeney shoots, they clear and we get it back. Free kick us now and....and.....ohhhhh Clough heads right at the keeper from six yards. Should have done better says the micman.

Blimey.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Plenty noise now and the mood is lifted. Feeney again getting the good words. Now they come at us and...a long cross gives us a goal kick. Thanks to Axford's good wood for sponsoring the broadcast and mic man does his best to put a damper on things. Feeney tries again and wins us a throw. And...Davies and....Feeney, and another throw opposite their box. Bit of cabbages and kings, then...throw them and...Holding has to come and clear from Gallagher at the expense of a corner. And Rajubka getting some serial fouling against him. Free kick us. Mic man thinks Bury and Rochdale is an important derby? Really? And now......goal kick us from a wayward header. Our defence getting some good words including Wilson's contributon. Throw us....

And now....more chit-chat before Moxey....does something or other. Now Feeney and.....not quite. Davies catches Wilson unawares (mic man( then we go again and Davies finds Clough, Moxey, Davies, now Feeney, Holding, and a bit of chat as we lose out via Madine not getting a free kick. They sally and Gallagher gets a corner via a deflection.

Preston fans get big praise for supporting our Burnden 33 min respect, complete with bringing bowler hats, then the ball ends up with Lindergard. And back to the play. Mic men telling us some history of the disaster. Now then. They have a free and....Gallagher again and....and.....Rachubja came and missed it but gets awarded a free kick, presumably for a foul. Seems ref did us a favour there.

Davies, Feeney, throw us, Moxey and....Feeney and Clough go and they have a throw. Pratley loses out and they break and...Rajubka gets that one. Madine falls for naught and....half time edges nearer. Wilson, loses out, they then give it us back and....the keeper beats Madine to the ball and clears. Throw them and....Trotter finds Davies, then Wilson and......we get a corner. Wilson managed to get a corner across and .....Madine fouls a defender and they get a free kick..

So, we press but Davies gives a free kick away in our half. Cleared but we clear a shot then they end up with a throw off Holding. And now......Davies does something daft and gives away another free kick. Nudge in the back, says the man. And.....Pratley has a handbag session with Gallagher that attracts a bit of interest. Looks like they both get a yellow card, plus another visitor, as four mins extra announced. Throw them now and ...and....Moxey....Clough goes on a sally and....wins a corner....And......and....can we, could we....nope. 1-0 at half time.
