Well, I've already predicted Cardiff. St Georges Day don't you know!

Cut adrift....

Whats our lowest points total for a 24 team league? Lowest number if wins? Gotta be some record we can aim for. We're deffo finishing bottom.

Means nothing now. Well it does for Boro, who are bottling it like Derby last season it seems.

Coz I'm bored:

We average 0.7 ppg, so we should expect to gain another 6pts from our final nine games. We average one win every nine games, draw one in three(ish) and lose half. That suggests 1W, 3D, 5L for our 6pts. As it happens, that's exactly our form in the last nine games.

If we're going to win one, then it's most likely the home game v Charlton. I'm struggling to find three draws, but I'll go with Reading (h), Brentford & Fulham (a).

For completeness, that's defeats v Bristol, Derby & Cardiff (a) and Boro & Hull (h).

Not sure why I bothered with this, but YHIHF!

It's basically the division roundup now...

Speaking of which, statto types may like this site, which spits out some interesting numbers:
http://apps.hilltop-analytics.com/analy ... gue-table/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

For instance, 10 teams have allowed a higher numbers of shots-against per game than us, including Burnley. (That's shots on-target and off-target, but it can't help raise questions over goalkeeping.) Similarly, 13 teams have had fewer shots than us (and five average fewer goals per game). And nine teams have a worse shot differential (our shots minus theirs) than us.

Inefficient in attack, unreliable at the back.

Yep, and mostly our problems stem from the fact we cannot control a midfield.

We've had majority possession in five of the last six games, although not by much, and I appreciate that possession isn't the same as control.

Our problem is more when the opposition have the ball. We're very good at passing sideways and backwards.

I mean, just look at Preston's two goals. Where is our midfield stopping the play develop?

It's like the Coyle days all over again. I made that comparison last season and felt a bit bad for being negative when I was still hopeful about Lennon. The signs were there even when we were winning, but as he'd turned results and we were playing decent attacking football I hoped it would be sorted out. Alas... :hang:
