they drove a car within 40meters of the cenotaph??
they filmed near the cenotaph??

If we thought that driving near it was disrespectful - then we'd have made it a pedestrianised area - but EVERY fecking day 10s of thousands of cars, mopeds, taxis, buses drive past the cenotaph...
also - dozens - probably hundrends of films and programs have been filmed near it..

so what exactly is disrespectful and who is genuinely disrespected or offended?

so much hysterical bollox that Evans has to go on Radio 2 and apologise - NOT for anything anyone actually did - but - apologise unreservedly for what some photos from a long way away made it look like might have happened but didn't...

the world's gone to feck!
Who gives a fxck? I don't care if Evans has to apologise for the rest of his life about Top Fxcking Gear.
The world has gone to feck, but that has more to do with the slaughtered rhinos and butchered elephants for their horns and ivory, it's to do with fxcking morons who shot two healthy swans yesterday for a laugh, it's to do with the all the wars around the world kicked off because of ridiculous concepts of religion.
The world hasn't gone to fxck because some people have caused a few morons to apologise even if they had nothing to apologise about. They did cause disruption, there's a perfectly shot photo in yesterday's Times of the plonkers pouring smoke into the atmosphere in front of St Bollox or whatever cathedral with a wedding party's photo session clearly being smoked upon...
That's my take.
That's not a leopard!

I'll simplify it for you... Who gives a fxck about Top Fxcking Gear? Whether they are apologising or not. Over something they did or didn't do? Who? :conf: :conf:

Saudi Arabia has already executed 70 people so far this year. They are on course to set a record.

I think they're looking for methane. Not water. And about 99% of humanity don't give a fxck either. But then 99% of humanity couldn't do anything about it one way or the other. Thank fxck that 1% of humanity might rescue the 99% who are still with the neanderthal 'flint, don't care if we never find any more flint again' brigade.

At least you didn't infer Cro Magnon, Spotty.

I'm with you, the bish, on the Top Gear smoke screen. I'm also sure that my father (2nd Lt. R.Es) and father-in-law (Flt. Lt. RAAF, seconded to RAF Calvery, Derbyshire) would both have guffawed over the brouhaha. Perhaps some people are forgetful that most of those who fought during WWII were young men, most of whom had a sense of fun and humour and enjoyed a bit of hi-jinx from time to time. What a curmudgeonly lot we're turning into.

Because I don't care what they do or don't find on another planet? Good. Because otherwise I'd be sucked into being some or other pseudo intellectual. Methane comes out of arseholes - search closer to home!

I'm not interested particularly either. But I see why it is important to know about our Universe. And whilst it might not impact upon our lives right now, it could have huge implications for the future.
