Re: Lennon gone - official
That sounds suspiciously like two parties coming to an agreement. If only there was a phrase adequate enough, yet simultaneously pithy enough to describe such a curcumstance.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

There seems to be an accepted given that he'd have got less after relegation than he would now. Is this something known or just instinct ?
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Freedman left 'by mutual consent'. Is the argument he wasn't sacked but decided he'd had enough?

As did Sammy Lee.

It is just a term football clubs use for, sacked when an agreement over the exit terms has been reached.

Don't understand why it's at all important. He's gone. Whatever and however.

Would suggest that he had at least some say in it. I think in this case mutual agreement might mean just that.

Might just be a one-off where a red top actually reported it as it was? The last-straw bit about Feeney might well have been a camels back job and sounds feasible enough. I'm admitting here that I really have no idea but might has well throw a hat in like everybody else.
Si Deus pro nobis, quis contra nos?
Re: Lennon gone - official
Like your good self Tango I've no idea, but I'd wager an unopened dozen box of Featherlite he was told to feck off. However they phrased it.

Can,t see anything confirming Feeney Being loaned out! It would make more sense financially and footbally,to loan someone like Mavies out..Feeney has been the stand out trier of the season, and I hope to f**k,we can keep him in Division 3!! He would tear that league a new ringpiece!
Re: Lennon gone - official
For f*ck sake.
It makes more sense to loan out folk that other folk want to borrow. It ain't a case of ringing clubs up and telling them who we're sending down and how much it's gonna cost 'em.

The one and only player who has looked up for it (all season).Lets let him go!! We can still mathematically stay up(I know I know)'we,re not going to.But let's just bang that final nail in ourselves. It makes no sense to send him out now.

Sky sports headline earlier was that Lennon walked, so my guess is sky sports is interpreting stuff however they think will give them the best headline.wigan white wrote:The "Skysports" bloke outside the Macron said earlier that it wasn't mutual but that Lennon had been sacked?Lord Kangana wrote:Just speculating that if we'd sacked him we might have used a phrase something like "we've sacked him".

I'm sure media darling Lennon has some sympathetic friends within the newspaper industry and I'm sure he will love the message going out that he's been hard done by. But let's get this straight if any Bolton manager who managed the club for 50 games or more, Neil Lennon has the worst record by far. That is why he has been sacked. Also I strongly suspect the fact he keeps moaning about lack of signings played a part with new owners who clearly feel more needs to be made of existing players and unlikely to be splashing lots around in the market.

They could at least have given him 48 hours.
