What else, would it likely be with either private investors or loans supplying the cash for the buyout?Lord Kangana wrote:So is this in effect a leveraged buyout?

Not saying that. We just haven't really learned anything new.Worthy4England wrote:Aye. Nothing to see here. Honest.
There was no rich mad bastard willing to chuck money in with no strings.
I think we need to give the new owners a chance first. They have paid the tax bill in 2 weeks. Something the old ownership failed to do in several months.
I agree there is reason for concern. But we can't change it now.

We do need to give them a chance, agreed. It is concerning to me, and not at all clear, whether the people who now own all our assets have 2 cents, between them. You're mate Nixon, who you're generally happy to call "bible", seems to think this is indicative of problems, so stop picking "news" when it suits you.

hmmm... I'm glad we're not where we could have been...
for the future, though - given there is no rich mad bastard (ED!) to chuck money in - can someone explain to me how any of this bunch could hope to get any return on their investment - or any cash to pay back the loans taken out - short of getting back into the Prem?

I'm not picking and choosing. He found this on companies house and doesn't seem to have much further to add.Worthy4England wrote:We do need to give them a chance, agreed. There is concern. And the question Bish poses below is a fair one I can't answer.
But I'm willing to give them a chance.

I'm not, I have a lousy gut feeling this lot are not going to do much for the club short term never mind long term.
A 3rd division club with a crap/no manager, overpaid tossers in the guise of players, new 'investment' owners, it don't bode well.
I await around 100-150 of those 350 staff who would have lost their jobs getting redundancy notices for starters.

It appears that those who bemoaned the Eddie regime are asking that we back SS, and those who defended Eddie are expressing concerns about SS?

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

On the contrary, I was very concerned by the nature of the period before the sale and ED's actions.
Simultaneously I have agreat deal of concern with nature of the purchase of the club by SS.
Being mutually exclusive things, they each have to be considered in their own merits. Neither is particilarly well blessed in thst department.

Guess you missed the 20 or so related tweets by him then...if you read what he's saying, it's broadly, they don't seem to have any money at all and straight off they're mortgaging, which doesn't augur well.BWFC_Insane wrote:I'm not picking and choosing. He's speculating though rather than knowing. He's found this on companies house, didn't know what it related to, nor who the company in question are. Whilst I think there is concern, this was broadly already known.Worthy4England wrote:Guess you missed the 20 or so related tweets by him then...if you read what he's saying, it's broadly, they don't seem to have any money at all and straight off they're mortgaging, which doesn't augur well.BWFC_Insane wrote:I'm not picking and choosing. He said previously they had no chance of being able to buy the club as he felt they were a joke bid.
I think expecting them to have lots of money would be a bit foolish from what we know.
They have either taken loans or using investors money. Suspect a combination of both. In any case it isn't an Abramovich billionaire wanting to pump loads of money in.
As I say, we didn't seemingly have much choice and we certainly don't know. Hope for the best and prepare for the worst.
Not sure flogging new owners for not being billionaires will change much.
And I am concerned by what may happen but also relieved that what very nearly did happen, didn't.

Speculating is what he does. He's been given further info on it - circa £5m, 10% admin fee, wonga interest rate.

Don't worry about it. BWFC_Insane has assured me that they have had to prove funding until the end of next season. Guaranteed, absolutely, cast in stone.Worthy4England wrote:Speculating is what he does. He's been given further info on it - circa £5m, 10% admin fee, wonga interest rate.
