Was talking with WtW about this on Saturday I reckon they''ll close the West and North upper sections next season and bung the STH's into the east upper

Isn't the North Upper the family stand?

Aye, but if even fewer families show up it'll be an even emptier stand.

That's an interesting one...and they could do, but often, behind the goal V side-on is one of life's great choices. Out of preference I generally prefer to be behind the goal. Wondering whether they might pack all the "uppers" into North upper...

West upper will be open I'd think. It's the one you can see on telly so they'll just open that so they can convince folk there are 18,000 there.

East upper is the one you see on telly

West stand is usually the posh stand cos it's the one where you don't get the sun in your eyes

Doh! No idea why I wrote West.

Maybe I've secretly never even been to Botlon!

I think it's because on a compass, West is left, and I sat in the North stand for 10 years and maybe I'm a touch self-centered.

It's an essentially solipsistic universe

If Mrs Pru is still away, I think he can be forgiven for that. To quote his favourite novel, "Let him who is without sin......"

Villa might (might) shut an upper tier:

Birmingham Mail report

Not saying that Villa doing something makes it either wise or insane, but it's interesting

Brilliantly, the prices went up a bit last summer.
And summer 2014.

I think Marc Iles has said that they are reducing, but not sure yet by how much. It might be something our leaders disagree upon, or perhaps they're doing a cost-benefit analysis on different price points. Might also be considering shutting tiers. As with the manager, I don't think they need to rush and make a decision in haste, although I appreciate it has to be reasonably soon for direct debit etc.

They need an overall reduction but not too much because I don't think it will increase crowds much but it will hit revenue.
The main thing is a gesture to show that they are reaching out to fans. I think 50 quid here and there won't make too much difference to adult st holders. If they want one come they will do. The board need to give the right messages and make us feel valued. A big reduction for kids for example, or food and drink offers.

Plus some decent local ale instead of factory produced shit that tastes of chemicals. I occasionally have never if I've started early and always regret it.fair play to BP, he makes a stand!

I suspect pies and ale will be chosen on whatever will make the most money (up front or as percentage), but that's not to say making it work isn't worth investigating. Brighton have made great strides in this department recently, and now many of their fans actually go to the stadium to meet up (rather than, say, the King Bill).
