Charlton had conceded 31 goals in their last 12 away games.

We'd conceded 18 in the last 6.

3-3 draw nailed on....nah, 0-0, neither side even capable of conceding anymore...can't even get that right.

On the other hand it was a clean sheet which hasn't happened in a while. Yay!

Since Christmas, effectively: the home win over Blackburn.

Wonder if they're counting all the 10,000 ST holders again?
I couldn't make it last night, but my dad sent me this just as the teams were getting ready to come out for kick off....

And it was only £15 a ticket...

What harm in giving Samizadeh a run of 20 minutes last night? I've said it before and i'll echo it: each minute Heskey plays ahead of anyone younger than him in our squad (even Tom Eaves Lives) hinders their development. Especially in a bottom-of-the-table clash.

What did Phillips/Anderson/Holdsworth glean from last night's match? More of the same please, the fans'll love it. :conf:

Agreed. I don't think they get it. Who cares about results? Watching a 38 year old trudge around ahead of younger players who will be here next season is depressing.

I get that you might want Heskey in there with them for a half to try and give them some guidance on the pitch and act as a focus. But we're not even doing that.

Fully agree. Well, I'm not as dead-set as you against Heskey playing at all – although I see your point, he has a role tactically – but I'd definitely have rested the old man last night and given Woolery a start, with the idea of bringing Samizadeh off the bench. We literally have nothing to lose by giving them more experience, particularly in a game against a League One team rather than say promotion-chasing Hull.

At least we had a young defence. I wonder how many times Jimmy will make veiled references to people going missing before he drops Pratley and Davies? He needs to make a point of it but he's too nice.

"Here's how you shouldn't do it lads.. Learn from the master" as he mistimes a header, falls over and takes 23 seconds to roll over on his front so h can get up.

I'm not sure what's more disgraceful (yes, I'm disgraced by his presence and that's not hyperbole); the fact that he's so shit, or the fact that he's being played.

When I see his name on the teamsheet, I wish injury on him, so I don;t have to watch him. It's like paying money to be poked in the eyes

Any ounce of pace in the first half, when we looked like we had a bit of energy in midfield would've punished Charlton

I think they feel that none of the youngsters can either lead the line or complement another in a 2 (at the moment). I sort of get that, but we really do need to be giving the youngsters as much playing time as possible, particularly where a contract is up for renewal.

Hopefully it will be a decent crowd for the last home game, if only to remind those returning next season what they're actually supposed to be there for and what it means. I do understand folk not bothering though.

Last night did nothing to sell Season Tickets for next term. I personally wont be in a rush to buy one. Majority of that team are simply not good enough and wont be even next term. The football was north West counties Division at least and that's a insult to that league.

Unless someone comes in and works a minor miracle Bolton Wanderers will continue to fall through the leagues, the appointment HAS TO WORK.
