Tonight's Football

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

“I’m really pleased with their overall performance even though I was slightly disappointed we paid Arsenal too much respect in the first half. But we sorted that out at half-time. We got in the faces of their midfielders and stopped them playing and our defending was outstanding.”
Boy oh boy do we miss the bloke!

I see that the thuggish, loutish, violent c*nts haven't changed a single iota in 30 years

Bury 1 Millwall 3: Match report - Fighting fans mar Gigg Lane game

...Violence marred the start of the match as both sets of supporters clashed inside the ground.

...But there were distressing scenes as the teams emerged from the tunnel at the start of the game as both sets of supporters clashed in the ground which delayed the kick-off.

...The stewards struggled to deal with the fighting as fans spilled onto the pitch and it took a couple of minutes for the police to enter the ground before eventually breaking the violence up – perhaps justifying Bury spending £20,000 on policing this encounter.

Wankers.

For clarity you do mean BOTH sets of fans, yes?

Apparently, from a colleague who was there, Bury fans responded after the Millwall 'supporters' broke a fence down to get at 'em.

I flicked over on my wireless just as it was kicking off. They said that the Millwall fans had found their way into the Bury end and I presumed that they had bought tickets in the home stands. It didn't cross my mind that they had broken into the Bury end to fight.

Apparently they get targeted by the police thugs and they have an unfair reputation around the country. Salt of the earth those cheeky Cockney chappies. Makes you proud to be English.

Ha. Think if he's banned further it will be the Man Utd game where they really miss him. His pace on the break is what so much of their game is built round. Swansea were awful. Man Utd is probably their toughest game left.

Had a quick read on a Spurs forum after the game and they were bemoaning how much "luck" Leicester had wit suggestions as far as teams conspiring against them to help Leicester win it.

Laughable. I've sort of always liked Spurs since the Muamba incident but reading that sort of thing was a bit off-putting.

Yeah, Vardy scares the hell out of the United back 4, they'll miss him there. Still think they only need one more win.

Apparently Bury spent an extra £20K on additional policing. When it kicked off, pre- kick off, there wasn't a Rozzer in the ground. They were all stood outside.

I hope Darren Anderton is feeling better tonight - after whinging like a tw@t about teams knocking off for the beach on Sunday, it was a delight to see a team not doing that tonight and scoring all the goals too!

Went to Bradford PA vs Nuneaton Town. Good game 2-3 with an exciting finish. Asked a guy which team was which and got chatting. He was there to watch his son play for Nuneaton and the lad scored the winning goal. Turns out he'd been a keeper and played with Jimmy P at Middlesborough under Lennie Lawrence. Mainly played at Scarborough but arrived a year after our infamous 4 nil drubbing.

What a dickish way to end a great season. Really puzzled by it because it seems out of character. But yes. We will win The euros now. Whoop.
