Thought this by Maajid Nawaz on Sadiq Khan's victory and the accusations of extremism was v interesting. Fair to criticise him, not fair to smear him as an extremist.

I think the point Bish is making, is if Cameron really believes leaving the EU increases the threat of war, then it would be irresponsible to risk a referendum.

Whatever side of the fence you're on - I think most would see this as a fairly ludicrous argument

I've heard that after being criticized, Manchester will re-run it's mock-up of an attack on the Traff, with someone now shouting "Bejaysus"

George's economic miracle...
UK industry fell back into recession as it shrank for the second quarter in a row, according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS).

It is the third time UK industry has been in recession in eight years.

Although industrial production rose 0.3% from February to March, it fell 0.4% both in the first three months of 2016 and in the last three of 2015.

Compared with a year ago, manufacturing production in the first quarter fell 1.9%, the biggest fall since 2013.

Good for them. As someone who actually works in UK manufacturing production I can tell you that despite us running two factories for 24 hours 5 days a week we're currently asking who's up for weekend overtime. Must just be us. ;)

They are the well accepted measures of economic growth based on very extensive data. Some industry did very well during the 2008 recession. Doesn't mean there wasn't decline in overall economic growth.
