Over the weekend I drove from The Garden to Doncaster, then to Norwich, before returning to The Garden.
I have no traffic issues to report.

It's only a problem on days with a 'Y' in. X

It's certainly not a problem if you have enough money for a first-class open return. The thick end of £750!

I drove from Bury to Braintree in 4 hours the other Friday night and back home in 3 hours on the following Sunday. Obviously, you're all doing it wrong.

What were you doing in Braintree? Parkrun? It definitely wasn't raining there.

Rubbernecking is another level here. Some of the feckers pull over to the side of the road and climb on the roof for a better view. Some have been known to pop over with their phone and take a few snaps

I'm not sure how that'd work in these days with all the pub closures. Used to be the only way to navigate.

I'd like to say that I teleported from the A1, but yes M62 for the final leg. I guess I should have added that for the sake of completeness.

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
A couple of weeks ago it took me two hours to drive from home to a meeting in Knutsford. To put that in context - last night my flight time from Copenhagen to Manchester was 1hr:50mins.

Hold up. Had another look online today and found a new release of cheap tickets. Single to Gatwick £22, 2 returns from London to Poulton £48 and 2 returns to Edinburgh (for the Fringe) £36. Bargain.Bijou Bob wrote:I try not to drive long distances these days and take the train where possible. A customer of mine wants to know where his stuff is that I'm bringing in from our plant in China, so I've chased it up. I reckon that I'm going to struggle to offer up 'Dragon Boat Festival' as a decent excuse!
