Well done you madman.

Just back from Rutland Water. 2 hours 51 mins. overall

4 minutes faster than last year. Happy.

Not sure what you mean. Is your exercise getting easier?

I went a bit slow this morning. :-) Started out as just a walk to the cashpoint and I decided to then follow one of my routes...The "stroll" at the beginning didn't help much.

It's not really getting easier as I'm chugging a fair bit quicker (still walking) but up to about 6.5kmh which is probably near my walking limit)...Don't feel near running yet, but 18lbs off so far...

Have you looked at one of those 'Couch to 5k' programmes? You may find that useful. And 18 pounds is excellent.

Ran a rubbish time at Parkrun and was out for a duck (caught behind) at cricket. Now I'm off out for a booze - at least I'm half decent at that :D

Doing Heaton Park tomorrow. It's Our Kid's first PR back after his spazzy foot monkey business so we're going to do a flatter run. Then cricket on both Saturday and Sunday afternoons (that doesn't really have any place in the running and athletics thread, does it?!)

It certainly didn't report many runs last time out, either IIRC. :-)

30:19. Pretty pleased with that for my first attempt. Not massively slower than my best on flat to date.

Well done GtE. I don't want to be mopping up that 100 miles of bile tomorrow, maybe you should taper today! :-)

You need to tell me how the concert was. Half of me would want to be there and the other half would be worried about them being nowt like last time I saw 'em.

It's just Blackmore and a bunch of session musicians going through the Rainbow and Purple back catalogues. Should be a good night. Never saw Rainbow so it's one to tick off. Shame Dio won't be there.

Probably went too quickly up it both times as I was dead at the top. I reckon if I take it easier going up there I'll be quicker around the rest of it and can get a much better time. Will probably go again next weekend.
