For new signings, ask the man from the Pru

Think we're ok if we can find some money for Spearings Surcharge and with Sparky in there
Not for me. Mark Davies is entirely wrong for us on more or less every level. Doesn't score, can't win the ball back, all glitzy showpony stuff and absolutely nothing of substance. Frankly he's the poster boy for many of our problems. Supposed talent, that has never actually materialised into anything approaching a real conclusive contribution for any period of time.

Spearing, perhaps but he's got to find form which has been sadly lacking for a long time.

Why does somebody always have to bring that c*nt Megson up?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Aaah. Shame, but no surprise I guess. Ta.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

If we could possibly leave all that behind, the new guy has some interesting words in this BN piece. It also says Conor Wilkinson and Francesco Pisano are expected to be the next players leaving, but that signing Proctor is not dependent on outgoings.
It’s about professional pride and no-one has spoken to me individually about wanting to go. Equally, I think a few players will have to go to readdress the balance of the squad. While they are here I expect them to train properly, not just for the club but for themselves. It is their career. Any of the group who feel they may leave must be ready to pick up the baton and be ready to go at their next club. If and when that happens we’ll deal with it then.

We are assessing it right now as if everyone will be here and we’ll pick the teams in pre-season to take a good look at everyone. What is important is that we take our time and make the right calls. Every decision will be a tight one. They won’t be made lightly, I can assure you. We have to make sure we don’t get rushed into anything. There are plenty of discussions ahead. We have listened to a lot of people’s assessments of the players over the last couple of weeks but now is the time that we make our own mind up on individuals. I am looking forward to that.

Or celery? (Now that's a niche reference)
