Woolery dashes forth and crosses but the keeper grabs it. To and fro and back to the keeper. Mention of transfer night by micman then.....Taylor and Taylor have a bit of possesion then a long one is cleared but Vela goes visiting and....Proctor is leaving the stage for Connor Wilkinson. Why, know not.

Are we looking to confuse the blues with managerial guile? Bit of possesion by us then....over it comes and Earing loses out. The juniors come rampaging forth and ..........its 1-0 to them...

Megson once made three subs in the first minute in this competition. Parky seemingly treating it with similar disdain.

Dyson, after a bit of football, hits one with venom from what sounds like Preston. Then another long range one sails over our bar. Our subs are warming up and......we need to buck up.

Yates gives one away that Zico says was never a 50-50 ball. Taylor and.....a defender almost gets an own goal to get us level. Almost, but not quite. A build up becomes naught then Wilson intercepts well and.....he goes....and Woolery and....any way, they clear it. Howard wallops one into the ether and Vela, Wilso, Wilkinson and.....Taylor goes again and...Woolery wins a free kick. And.....Wilson, Beevers and Buxton ...well, I don't know what they did because mic man and Zico have a chat. We sally again and Perry? ....gets involved before...we don't get a free kick and the juniors surge forth again. Mic man sounds impressed by the visitors before......Wilkinson, Earing, Perry, Yates clears. Thirty gone.

Just the 14 to go then.
I think he's being sensible. The team that's out there should still be able to beat a bunch of kids and he will expect that. Does he want Earing and Perry to go in and play shit so we get knocked out? Of course not

Taylor starts a move that gets us a corner as micman mentions Bury then.....they clear. Taylor loses out and Taylor?....well, I'll never know what he did because, let's go to Gigg Lane....Free kick to the juniors, throw and...Beevers, Taylor and....a bit of keep ball before...Wilkinson wins a free after getting savages. And.......Taylor (Chris) lines it up and....and...right at the keeper. Let's not go in one down lads hey?.... We get the ball then lose it and then Woolery gives one away. Howard has to save a Walsh effort and micman sounding like an Everton supporter. Throw us now and.....Taylor..Wilkinson, Beevers....and...we have a very-nearly something before Wollery has one blocked. Again those Whites surge forth but lose it and the juniors sprint down the greensward. Free kick us now in our half and ........Woolery starts off a move that wins a throw. Mic man announces three mins to the break and......Earing has a problem...? Wollery again and and.....and....and...mic men have a chat and....the blues get a free kick.

Off to Gigg Lane again and then....we've had the play, they have the goal. Another free kick them as micman reckons the juniors deserve their lead. Zico doesn't agree. One added minute and Lemon and Lucozade time. 1-0 the juniors.

We have a little sally forth and win a throw...and....they they win one. "Eerie atmosphere" states micman as no 49 gets a mention for the Scousers. Free kick for them for an assault on a minor then.....no 66 gets a mention. Sounds like a chorus from "Jailhouse Rock"
Well played, sir :D

So, one down to the blue Scouse junior school. I do hope that fact causes a bit of embarrassment in our war room. The ghosts of Duncan Ferguson and Alan Stubbs hover amongst the Lofthouse Lower empty seats a our reluctant heroes get an oxygen injection. We go and....win a free kick. Taylor and...we get a corner. And Taylor again and....they have a goal kick. Mic man must be sat near an Everton commentator as he keeps creeping on about how good they are. Zico is more Bolton (and that's saying something with that accent) than he is. A good effort sails over their bar before they sally at us again and Zico has a flurry of pure Scouse, "know wor a mean like" before we resume. They come forth and Robinson wins a free kick.
Sanity almost resumes as Wilkinson breaks, they recover, then Vela wins a free kick. They clear, we recover, Veal and Wilson goes, they part clear and....Vela goes and we win a throw. And another. Goal kick them. Lively restart.

Howard clears, Wilkinson and.....Wilson and...a poor header results. Beevers now and we go forth with intent. Woolery persists and wins a throw..and....Earing, Vela and ...Vela again and feeds Wilson (Head and shoulders Bolton's best player, says micman) Wilkinson sends a header past the post. Surely we'll score soon?

Wollery goes, does well, Taylor, Perry and Buxton figure, then Earing...then Yates clears. Mic man rants abou the kids, Zico points out their striker is in his own half and Bury go 2-1 up. Oh, goody. Wilkinson tries again and we have a throw. Buxton loses out to a slide tackle and we get another throw.. A cross is over hit and the juniors have a goal kick. We set off again and Vela's ball crosses the field and....we don't get a free kick. Now we do get one and...the ref causes some disagreement and.....some odd decisions end with a free kick to them. "The Juniors bring on no 58 for no 44 and ....we go off to Bury just to check that score..."...cough. Now then, Woolery is back on his feet and Earing and Perry have a bit of a dance as 1540 of a crowd is announced. The juniors break but it comes to naught.

Wilson crosses one too deeply and...."we need to up the tempo" says Zico. A speculative effort from them goes into row 77 and mic man and Zico chat about tactics then....chat some more about embargoes and...Perry and Vela are leaving the pitch for Spearing and the Machine....

The Machine on, a goal fest in the waiting room? More praise for the juniors then we sally via Wilson. They clear and....a long ball needs Howard to clear. Wollery wins, Wilkinson goes and........it goes out across the pitch for a throw despite Bolton claims for a defelection. They defend one, we get it back via Beevers who feeds Buxton, now Spearing and Earing...(good Lord)...Madine nods one down then Taylor pulls a shirt....and they get a free kick. Time is marching on and we are still behind. COME ON YOU WHITES.......Madine, cleared, Spearing, Buxton, Taylor and....Spearing, Taylor, Earing and......Spearing and.....more possession and they clear....but we recover it and......a Wilkinson weak shot caused no waves.

All to and fro then the juniors win a free kick and.....mic man reminds us we are playing the under 23's. A crazy corner results (according to Zico) and Walsh.......sends one in and....it's 2-0..

Dont think so. Parky, quite understandably, doesnt give a shite. But it does show a lack of strength in depth. Conor Wilkinson for example...
