And again you have my complete agreement. Perfectly understand Parky going five at the back late on, but Moxey immediately offered them a soft-spot (and was duly skinned).BWFC_Insane wrote:Another point, Wigan fans slated Andrew Taylor when we signed him, said he was terrible.
All I can say he's the best full back we've had in years, really solid. Really like him. Light years ahead of Moxey.
Thought that the youngster in midfield had a decent game, by the way.

I thougt the game totally passed Perry by! Think he's not ready for first team yet. Used the ball well enough but very static lost the runners from midfield pretty much every time in the second half.
Very lucky to not conceed second half, Weater and Howard outstanding. Full backs good, Ameobi decent, rest of em less so. Procter. Fck me! Is that lad seriously a centre forward? He's gary madine without the goal threat!
Can't argue - overcame a potential banana skin there. Onwards and upwards.

^ Banana skin is the issue. In the F.A.Cup lots of clubs, sometimes big ones, go out in early rounds to giant-killing lower league minions seeking to operate Carpe Diem as a rare opportunity for glory. Doesn't matter how unimpressive or mighty be the win, all that counts is that we get it. We did, and with a somewhat skeleton squad, so onwards and upwards. Again, we had/created the chances and the lack of a scorer was the relevant factor..We need one, a No shx Sherlock, statement, yes, but a truth nevertheless....

The draw for the second round is tonight at 7.10pm. We're ball number 26.

Have we ever been the top ranked team in a cup draw before?

I have found this match to download and for the last few days have been trying to get it, I am on my third or fourth attempt at getting the 1st half! (it's 1GB per half.)
It's in Spanish as well! I couldn't find an English commentary version!
If I actually get to watch it it will be my first game I have watched since we were relegated from the Premiership!!!
(I do not know the result!!! I haven't looked!!!)
