I think he'd be a big gain. Extra person who can run and run. And Vela will need a rest at some point. Pratley can do that running, he may not be as good on the ball but he's arguably got an even better engine than Josh.
My worry is that he will play instead of Vela. Managers usually have a blindness with some players and we haven't seen Parky's yet. Using him as back up is fine, but nothing needs changing at the moment, apart from a striker that can hold the ball up and hit a barn door from 3 yards...
Get the impression Vela would be Parky's first choice on the sheet if fit. So I'd not worry about that.

Pratley would be good cover for him. Think he might also be decent alongside Spearing in some games as at home I'm not sure we always need a Derik or Thorpe in there too.

Yeah would be nice to have his guile and creativity at home.

If he puts Trotter one person further from the team it's a good thing.

I'm hoping he might be a plus to the side.

Vela looks so much better now he's been pushed further up the park and obviously, he's scoring quite regularly too.

Wasn't that Pratley's position when we got him from Swansea? They seemed to rate him pretty highly.

But, he might be crap again. I've never seen a footballer with as little footballing talent as him.

re Swansea, DP represented them both as a No.10 (almost entirely reliant on athleticism) and as a deeper midfielder. I think for PP he is likelier to start in that second role, running and covering and ball-winning, although he may sometimes replace Vela later on in a game to see it out or give Josh a rest.
