Re: Saddling up Saturday
The Saddlers have a bit of possession then Derik stops Oztumer and we sally forth again....some mic chat and...we get a throw near their box. And.....Taylor. Spearing, cleared, Derik back to Ben. They have it again and....we have some scores. Shrewsbury go one up on Scunny.....

Re: Saddling up Saturday
Madine....offside that the mic lads can't explain then they have a free kick. Taylor gets a yellow for bringing a Saddler down. Free them and....O'Conner and O'Connel' have a saly then Oztumer almost gets one back but the ref reckons it didn't cross the line.

Re: Saddling up Saturday
We got away with one there and let's hope it wakes us up to the danger. Morais wins us a free kick against Edwards and......and...some scores then....Beevers, they clear it an we get a throw. Taylor, Madine, Spearing and a cross goes past all. Beevers does weel, they get a throw and make an "awful" pass, then a shot from distance goes way over our bar. Come on lads, don't get complacent...

Attendance is 13,610 of which 886 are Saddlers fans. I think that might be our lowest number of home supporters (as opposed to "lowest home gate") this season? Can't blame people, I suppose.

Re: Saddling up Saturday
Zico howls for a foul and we get it. Mic man rackons we're a bit reluctant to commit bodies forwar, but....well, care needs taking. Ben has it now and sets us off. Free kick them on halfway now and.....then we get one back. 886 Saddlers fans attending is the claim as they sally forth and our defence do well and have them offside. Madine gets nailed for a foul and back they come. Osbourne, O'Connor and O'Connell make no impact but clear things. Vela sallies forth, Morais gets a good cross in and.....Madine doesn't get the free kick. Spearing now, and I didn't hear anything there for Zico and micman yammering top not. Mention of changes now but they charge forth and,,,,,and...win a corner. We sounded a bit uncertain there and, corner cleared and.....Oztumer draws a good save from Ben.

Re: Saddling up Saturday
Madine did well but they grabbed it and broke. Derik did well and I'm hearing a bit too much Saddlers here. They try again but Morais clears. Back they come and Trotter clears. Again they try with the Oz lad and....we have a goal kick as mic lads praise the defence. Alf leaving the field now and....some scores then....more Walsall pressure and are we tiring a bit or just easing off?

Still plenty time to go yet. Late elsewhere, though, and Blades have gone in front at Posh.TANGODANCER wrote:are we tiring a bit or just easing off?

Re: Saddling up Saturday
Saddlers claim for a pen, get nothing, we clear they clear badly via O'Connor...and Spearing and.....ohhhhh Veal was in, Madine had a chance and....it ends for nought. Ref deflects a Spearing pass to the Sadlers benefit and....it goes out for a goal kick us...and Troter leaves to applause from the fans. Shefield get a winner with minutes left. We go and...Taylor cross and they knock it out for a throw. Taylor and it ends with a gaol kick. Saddlers makea double sub with 12 to go. We break and ...Spearing takes a free kick and.....and....back and forth, and it all falls down. They have it via their keeper and Long gets a mention. Madine getting the good words and....ref books....? We go and...mic lads sound manic. Bradsford have a draw? We get a throw and....ref gets slagged by the mics as Beevers get chopped. Sp;earing, Morais, Derik.....Vela.....and......4-1... Long...

Scunt, Fleet & Bradders dropping points is making this scoreline look tasty. Five mins to go....

Re: Saddling up Saturday
And......"Wanderers with a 4-1 lead" how good doews that sound...? Throw us and ..Zico singing....we're trying again and....and....a goal kick them and....some scores and.....a bit of this and that and.....they have a dab at us.....we grab and go. Madine and Thorpe and....that's it. 4-1 the lads...

Three points a nice tonic after this past week. Good that Long's got one under his belt too - that should help.
Massive week ahead now... home to Rochdale Tuesday then away to Bratfud while Blades play Scunny on Saturday.

Excellent scoreline. Hopefully on the ascendancy now. Thanks TD.

Great result but not a great performance in all honesty but after this week, I'll take that all day long

Absolutely fantastic result. Very interested to know what formation we played and how it looked. Hoping for answers of 3-5-2 and great

Nah we have had a total crowd of 12290 v Coventry. Today's crowd is our standard home following this season..Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Attendance is 13,610 of which 886 are Saddlers fans. We still look pedestrian and they closed our defence down quickly. This left gaps to exploit but we just couldn't take advantage and preferred to knock it back to Alnwick and then lose possession.
Long looked enthusiastic when he came on and took his goal brilliantly
