It's a sell-out! #BWFC's entire allocation of over 4,300 tickets for our game v @OfficialOAFC on Saturday 15 April have been snapped up!Burnden Paddock wrote: ↑Wed Apr 05, 2017 9:31 pmFleetwood 3-1 up. Bollox. Why didn't I get a ticket for Oldham???

Saw that earlier. Going to Scunny and Port Vale and inexplicably haven't bothered with Oldham.TonyDomingos wrote: ↑Wed Apr 05, 2017 9:51 pmIt's a sell-out! #BWFC's entire allocation of over 4,300 tickets for our game v @OfficialOAFC on Saturday 15 April have been snapped up!Burnden Paddock wrote: ↑Wed Apr 05, 2017 9:31 pmFleetwood 3-1 up. Re: The countdown- Where will we finish?
Soooo I make it the earliest we can get promoted is now Good Friday, when we don't play. That would require us to beat Scunny while Fleetwood lost at Oldham this Saturday and then at Peterborough on Good Friday, while Bradford get a maximum of three points from Bury (A) and Oxford (H).
There's now a bigger chance we could get promotion against Bury. That requires us to match Fleetwood's results*; even if they win all their next three, we could go up against the Shakers if we've done likewise.
*Assuming Bradford or Scunny don't in the meantime overturn their respective three- and five-point deficits on the fishies to become our nearest challengers; it's worth pointing out that we are 10 and 12 points clear of those two respectively, so for them to catch us up it would take at least four rounds of them taking 100% and us 0% – not impossible, but statistically unlikely.

One more thing – for completeness' sake I suppose I should point out that mathematically we can still be caught by Southend and Millwall, who are each 13 points and a shedload of goals behind us with 15pts still to play for.

We knocked Athletico Madrid out of the Europa. They're not catching us any time this millennium.

Aye, some miserable bastard last night pointed out that we still aren't guaranteed playoffs.

Elsewhere, Scunny 1-0 up at MK Dons; below them, Millwall 1-0 Northampton and Chesterfield 0-1 Southend. Oh and Blades are 2-0 up at Port Vale. Still Bradford 0-0 Oxford (for now).

Also proves that Port Vale and Peterborough aren't formidable. I also see that Rochdale won at Bury.

Other results shouldn't matter....
If we can't get 6 points out of the 12 points available from games against Oldham, Bury, Port Vale & P/Boro then we don't deserve automatic promotion IMO, but we will so everyone should relax

These teams raise their games against us. See Chesterfield.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Fri Apr 14, 2017 3:58 pmAlso proves that Port Vale and Peterborough aren't formidable. I also see that Rochdale won at Bury.
One or both of Fleetwood and Bradford WILL get 84 points. I'm far from convinced we will get two wins. Just a feeling. We might. We might. But I can definitely see nerves kicking in if we lose or draw tomorrow.

Re: The countdown- Where will we finish?
I agree with all that PT, except that I'll watch the results roll in. Each to their own. Speaking of which...Peter Thompson wrote: ↑Fri Apr 14, 2017 3:58 pmOther results shouldn't matter....

But not against Sheffield United and Fleetwood, to whom they're losing today? Aye alright. You can't have it both ways: if you think those games are gimmes for others but not for us, you're looking through a glass darkly.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Fri Apr 14, 2017 4:12 pmThese teams raise their games against us.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Fri Apr 14, 2017 3:58 pm(...)proves that Port Vale and Peterborough aren't formidable. And no, I'm not saying it will be easy, I'm just saying that it's still very likely to happen.

I just think Bury Bolton is a very different game to Bury Fleetwood for example.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Fri Apr 14, 2017 4:17 pmI agree with all that PT, except that I'll watch the results roll in. Especially under pressure.
I'm fairly sure we will lose tomorrow and go into Bury with just a one point gap. We've been nervy at home of late. I just can see this going wrong. Without imagining too hard. It has been setup for that as I think a few thought it was done after winning at Southend. It wasn't.
