Oh, FFS! Just keep the focus on Sunday... The whole operation we may find is a total, terrible mess, but whatever it is, it's better to face it in a higher division...

Isn't something we didn't know about is it? Ken mentioned in December he thought this might end up in court. Suspect he will pay it off before then. Though Id be interested to know what has happened to the shares deal with Dean H.

Re: Fcuk me!!! Why now???
Fcuk all to worry about - can't understand why some are stressing over this.
As BWFCI says, everyone knows about this and Ken is on this - its part of Ken's buying of Holdsworth's shares in the club, and will probably be sorted before the court date on 22nd May and has nothing to do with any potential promotion bonus.
Nothing in this for the fans or players to worry about IMO....old news - although I do agree that the BN could have waited until next week, disgraceful timing by the BN (just shit stirring) and if I was Ken I'd ban them from the Macron

BN printed it because the Sun did on Monday. Iles said yesterday he wouldn't write a story on this till after Sunday. Yeah, it's not Iles' fault. But equally, if it's in the national news, it would be dereliction of duty for the BN not to report it.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Thu Apr 27, 2017 10:28 amBN printed it because the Sun did on Monday. It's very carefully reported though. If I understand correctly, this is BluMarble chasing Deano's company, which no longer owns BWFC in part or whole... right? Or has that Dean-to-Ken deal not gone through?
Either way, seems to me there's not much to worry about here bar Deano's inability to pay. Possible that Sports Shield might go pop, but not, it seems to me, BWFC.

Don't think the deal has quite gone through yet. Iles on his facebook live thing said it was all "very complicated" but he'd go into more detail next week, IF we succeed on Sunday - otherwise he'll be writing about playoffsDave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Thu Apr 27, 2017 11:10 amYeah, it's not Iles' fault. The loan was signed by official of BWFC as it is secured against Sports Shield BWFC assets (in other words, the club). Ken alleged in December that this was not really the case and that it was a Sports Shield (as opposed to SSBWFC) liability. We shall see. I don't think anyone really wants to test that out in court. So I'm hoping Ken plans to secure investment or alternative lending to pay it off!

I think we all knew there were problems still on the financial front, it's the timing of all this coming out I'm annoyed about.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Thu Apr 27, 2017 11:10 amYeah, it's not Iles' fault. Re: Fcuk me!!! Why now???
Not sure about this so maybe talking out my backside here but please indulge me nontheless.
Does the contract that ED left us with stipulate different repayments should we be back in the championship?
Maybe blumarble had to get this sent before the last game of the season so that the additional repayments didn't kick. In other words Blumarble want repaying before any additional repayments need to go out. In which case this may have been the latest they could've left this announcement (playoffs notwithstanding).
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Re: Fcuk me!!! Why now???
Got nothing to do with that. Deano via sports shield borrowed 5M from blumarble, secured against club assets to buy his half of the club. He hasn't paid it back or made the repayments.Mar wrote: ↑Thu Apr 27, 2017 5:11 pmNot sure about this so maybe talking out my backside here but please indulge me nontheless.

So blumarble have launched a winding up petition against the club.
Ken hinted he might fight it as he suggested the loan arrangement and liability of BWFC wasn't legal. However there seems, in the public light at least, little to support this. So it will need paying. Or they will have a claim on 7M or so of club assets if you add interest on.

Re: Fcuk me!!! Why now???
I think the Eddie repayments only kick in if we're in the Premier, don't they?

Sorta. The paperwork at Companies House has the agreement between Bwfc and Blumarble...BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Thu Apr 27, 2017 6:11 pmGot nothing to do with that. The facility was in favour of Sports Shield Bwfc, so I don't think there's much doubt that it was to fund Dean's part of the bargain, but the bottom line appears to be that the Agreement is between Club and Blumarble...

Yep sorry. Ken disputes the validity of that for some reason, but from what we know, seems hard to see how.

Re: Fcuk me!!! Why now???
I guess one of the interesting questions is, what happened to the 5 Mill. Clearly if we've used it to pay bills then it's proper that it's our debt. If Holsworth has used it connected to the takeover, then I'm be pissed. And as ever there's probably a "somewhere in between" where I think I recall Anderson saying Sports Shield had billed the Club over a million in connection with the takeover...
Either way it looks like we'll have to sort out Blumarble (or not) and then separately pursue Holsworth if there's anything outstanding...

Some people are like Slinkies … not really good for anything, but you can’t help smiling when you see one tumble down the stairs.
