Many? Who, other than SKD? And was Zabaleta as pivotal to City's success? I don't think so. He's just an ordinary City player. How are they going to go on when Kompany or Toure leave? Big fuss about nowt as far as I can see. Still, I'm happy to leave you with your fawning.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Wed May 17, 2017 12:22 pmI don't follow...why shouldn't City fans make a fuss about a long standing player who has been a huge favourite of theirs? Just like we did over many of our ex players....Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Wed May 17, 2017 12:15 pmJust another City player.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Wed May 17, 2017 10:33 amBeen there since 2008, what is seen as the start of City's resurgence. (Or money fuelled period).Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Wed May 17, 2017 10:10 amI understand that, but why all the fuss? He's just another City player.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Wed May 17, 2017 9:07 am
His last home game for Man City as he's leaving in the summer.
City fans love him. Won the league twice with them.

He was a hugely popular player there who came just as the good times started. Was also at his peak the best right back in the league by a way.Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Wed May 17, 2017 1:03 pm

People at Bolton demanded testimonials or send offs when likes of Campo left....
End of the day not sure why you'd bother who City fans like or don't? Zabaleta has always been hugely popular there.

I couldn't care a flying 4uck who they like or dislike. My original question was "Have I missed something? Zabaleta? What's all this fuss?".BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Wed May 17, 2017 1:10 pmHe was a hugely popular player there who came just as the good times started. And the answer was, he's a hugely popular player City fans have taken to their heats, who has been there a long time during the best period in the club's history.Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Wed May 17, 2017 1:46 pmI couldn't care a flying 4uck who they like or dislike. Bradford staying down. Good.
Never thought I'd back Millwall against them but all the crap they spouted this year - one dimensional Parky, their football being something akin to Brazil in 1970, how they were going to catch us by the end of the season etc
You'll be better off staying in the lower divisions lads. It's where you've spent the bulk of your history. Thanks for Morais!

Agreed. Did raise a smile when Millwall scored. And it looked suspiciously offside to me. Missed the replay though so perhaps it weren't....Harry Genshaw wrote: ↑Sat May 20, 2017 5:21 pmBradford staying down. Good.

Poor, beleaguered fool! I shall stand, with arms folded in indifference, as the thuggish, loutish, violent c*nts take you to within an inch of your life next season. Be lacky, Tweacle.Harry Genshaw wrote: ↑Sat May 20, 2017 5:21 pm

Re: Tonight's Football
So, no doubt then you'll have been in full support yesterday of this contrived bollocks that saw Chelsea's number 26, John Terry, taken off on the stroke of 26 minutes to a guard of honour during an actual Premier League game? If not, where are you drawing the line?BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Wed May 17, 2017 2:47 pmAnd the answer was, he's a hugely popular player City fans have taken to their heats, who has been there a long time during the best period in the club's history.Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Wed May 17, 2017 1:46 pmI couldn't care a flying 4uck who they like or dislike. He's not retired. He's leaving Chelsea to play for someone else, probably another premiership team.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Mon May 22, 2017 9:21 amHas he stopped blubbing yet? 5th year running he's fcking retired...
The whole thing was embarrassing in the extreme. Got some serious sort of complex has that bloke.

Mind you, I was quite touched when he blubbed about his wife and his kids, I could hear Wayne Bridge applauding from our front room.

Indeed. A normal bloke who has not played much this season, especially later on would be embarrassed to be too involved in the team's celebrations. Not him though. No, he had to life the bloody trophy. And be taken off to a guard of honour on 26 minutes. At his own request...what an absolute nob.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Mon May 22, 2017 9:25 amMind you, I was quite touched when he blubbed about his wife and his kids, I could hear Wayne Bridge applauding from our front room.

Re: Tonight's Football
I don't mind the fans wanting to give a player a send off. Terry deserved one. But this was entirely manufactured by Terry himself. Starting the game, asking Sunderland to kick the ball out on 26 minutes so he could be subbed with a guard of honour....a speech at the end. Lifting the trophy despite not playing.Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Mon May 22, 2017 10:03 amReally?BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Mon May 22, 2017 9:40 amIndeed. It is the way Terry wanted the limelight and totally manufactured the day around himself. That is very different from PZ.

Re: Tonight's Football
Oh really? And how do you know that Terry manufactured it? How do you know that he asked Sunderland to boot it out? Lifted the trophy without playing? He played for 26 minutes? How do you know that it was Terry who'd manufactured the day around himself? And again, where are you drawing the line? Who are you to say what's acceptable and what isn't?BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Mon May 22, 2017 10:08 amI don't mind the fans wanting to give a player a send off. Terry deserved one. I'm calling Terry a nob, for his constant search for the limelight. Not bemoaning a send of for a legend of Chelsea. He would have got a great send off without that nonsense.
Re: Tonight's Football
Coz he said he did.
Clearly completely different situations.
PZ cult hero, been there forever, the fans wanted to say a goodbye. Absolutely no problem with that (though I wondered why it was a news story).
Terry clearly in at the very least the same bracket (or higher) but contrived 26th Mon celebrations that he came up with? Feck off to that.
