You're welcome

Re: The athletics/running thread
Probably doesn't work out if it's 98% rest like the last few years for me.
Getting much fitter now though with 3 running sessions a week and not going daft so I can recover inbetween.
2nd proper race of my latest fitness drive on Sunday. My first old people's race, British Masters 5k Championship in Horwich. Noticed a few over 80s and even an over 85 on the start list. They're going dowwwwnnnn! I'm gonna kick me some octagenarian ass!!

You better had as a phalanx of amateur (and a couple of professional) photographers will be on hand, ahem, wishing you well.LeverEnd wrote: ↑Thu Jun 15, 2017 4:13 pmProbably doesn't work out if it's 98% rest like the last few years for me.

On the understanding that this could be guerilla medicine. Knees. Fine when moving, fcuked when bent close to (or over) 90. Degrees. Cartilage?

Aye. That's how it went when the one in my left knee was bolloxed. Straightening up after flights was a particular joy.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Sun Jun 18, 2017 10:26 amOn the understanding that this could be guerilla medicine. Knees. Get it done, mate. Bit of keyhole, feels like brand new and you can't see where they've been.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Sun Jun 18, 2017 12:10 pmYeah same after driving... Actually, not quite. I had to go to Dubai Mall last week, which given the size of the place is probably equivalent to a marathon... and it was Ramadan

Re: The athletics/running thread
Just 15k here...
Re: The athletics/running thread
I'm still trying to work my way up to the 5k mark...
It's not being helped with the events that I've been going to / working at. Just spent about 8 days in the US for a gaming event. Lots of walking though!
Squeezing in a couple of runs (today/tomorrow) before heading to Sheffield on Wednesday for a week.
Looking at doing the color run on July 1st as my first proper 5k. And timing it myself. With it being a more relaxed run I can do it without worrying about looking so bad
. And then I'll start doing the PRs.

Re: The athletics/running thread
Did that veterans 5k race, improved time again to 18:08 chasing down an over 60 guy but failing to catch the old git! Was ridiculously hot, didn't envy my mate doing the freckleton half marathon.
